"Hmm, I didn't notice," Zarina answered, though she couldn't help but wonder where Samantha was now. Despite being hurt by Samantha last night, she couldn't shake off the nagging question of why Samantha was so angry toward her.
She thought the incident would be the talk of the company, but it wasn't. If Samantha had been arrested, it would have been announced, but nothing had happened, as if everything had been normal.
Nevertheless, Zarina just shrugged. "Well, it's better now that she's gone. Hopefully, things will quiet down, and the company will be in order. She was just a thorn in our side, always meddling in everyone's business."
