"Why do you want to join an expedition to Atlantis?" Harry asked Fleur, the breathtakingly beautiful silvery-blond-haired woman, who was sitting gracefully in front of him on the couch. There was a bit of pain hidden behind her deep blue eyes.
"I need a bit of change. Something new to do with my life. An expedition to the legendary city of Atlantis just felt right."
"You are aware that there is a massive risk in such an endeavor, and you may very well lose your life on this expedition," Harry pointed this out.
"I know. I am still willing to risk it." She replied with determination glittering in her eyes.
"Okay, we are almost done. You passed the interview, Fleur," Harry said, making the beautiful girl smile, "But you could say the hardest part is yet to come. There is a bit more to this expedition than was mentioned, or rather, a lot more. And to reveal the details, I will need an unbreakable oath from you to not reveal the details if you don't accept the position."
She took a sharp look at him before she nodded. After taking the oath, Harry began to explain.
"First, a small history lesson: Millions of years ago, there was an advanced race of humans that once lived on Earth; we are calling them today the Ancients, but they were called the Alterans, or later Lanteans. They evolved so far that they developed superhuman abilities, similar to our magic. Before they left Earth, they reseeded the planet, creating a new race of humans with even greater potential than them. One day, a group of them returned to Earth and lived among the new humans; this pairing created once again another race of humans: witches and wizards."
1
"Is this a joke?" Fleur asked in anger; she had sworn an unbreakable oath for this.
"No, it's not. I will show you proof later. Atlantis is a city built by the Ancients. It's not just a city; it's also a spaceship. A city-ship, to be precise. One of many, but the only one remaining to this day, as far as I know. And it's on another planet, in another galaxy."
"And 'how do you plan to reach this flying city? With a spaceship?" Fleur scoffed at that ridiculous idea.
"No, the only way to reach the city is through a stargate. It's protected by powerful shields, which are pretty much supercharged wards, and City Ships have the most powerful ones that I know of," Harry said. "A stargate is a device also created by our ancestors, the Ancients, that allows near-instantaneous travel among the stars; they constructed a network of these stargates. If you want to see a spaceship, I can show you one."
1
Fleur stared at him as if she wasn't sure whether he was joking or mad. "Really?"
Harry stood up, leading her towards the garden of Grimmauld Place. "Sure, it's parked in the garden."
"You parked a spaceship in the garden? In the middle of London..." Fleur exclaimed in disbelief but followed him. "It's cloaked," Harry said as he opened the hatch to the Ha'tak, revealing the insides. "This is a Ha'tak. It was created by a race of alien parasites, taking humans as hosts and acting as gods. Most of the gods we have heard of, besides the Asgard, are Goa'uld, who enslaved Earth a few thousand years ago," Harry explained.
1
Fleur could just stare at the ship in shock; Harry hadn't been pulling an elaborate prank on her. "A race of alien parasites enslaving humans? Are you still out there?"
1
"Yes, they rule over most of the galaxy. I am right now acting as one myself. When I looked for technology on Earth to get into space, I found one of these gods, Osiris, to be precise. Back then, I had no idea what it was before it tried to take me on as a host. Fortunately, the Goa'uld never encountered a wizard; with my basic knowledge about the mind arts that I picked up during the war, I managed to counterattack and destroy the symbiote's mind." Harry explained.
"So you removed the alien parasite?" Fleur was interested.
"No, it has quite a few benefits. I received all its memories and, through them, an extended life, enhanced strength, speed, and intelligence. Before that, I gained knowledge of Merlin, who was one of the ancients. Through the knowledge I gained, I changed its genetics to create a completely new race: the Magus Symbiote." Pulling one of the regular black snakes out, "Anyone receiving gets the benefits of a Goa'uld Symbiote, turns into a Wizard, while also receiving specific genetic knowledge that I gave it beforehand, like the basic education, including the language of the Ancients. In addition, this one specializes in languages, physics, chemistry, engineering, and shield technologies. I created it for you; the normal ones just receive one specification. But you are a good friend."
"You want me to become possessed by this thing?" Fleur asked in fear.
"Oh, no, they don't have a will on their own. They are a means to give the expedition the necessary knowledge about Atlantis and add to the chance of survival since there is a powerful enemy in that galaxy. Hermione has already received hers. You are the second person in the wizarding world; I am offering one by myself." Harry said this without mentioning the details about the loyalty compulsion and the Magus Empire for now. The Empire was after all part of the knowledge.
Fleur was still hesitant, but when she saw the honest, warm look in his eyes, she nodded. "Let's do it. I hope for you; it won't leave a scar."
"No, it doesn't. The Goa'uld did, but I changed its biology. It now turns into a swarm of biological particles fusing with your body." Harry explained with a chuckle; leave it to Fleur moments before receiving an alien parasite, being worried about her looks. But this was much easier with wizards than it would be with Muggles. There were many strange things out there for wizards to change their bodies, so an alien parasite wasn't too strange.
The moment the symbiote entered Fleur's body, she began to change; he felt her genetics adapting, bringing the ancient genes more prominently out and enhancing her power. She quickly reached the genetic adaptation of a high class and was pushed into the ultimate class, where it began to slow down.
Until suddenly, a pink light surrounded her body. Harry was familiar with that feeling; it felt similar to her allure but far stronger. It wasn't affecting his mind, but the pink light also spread. Something in him—no, in all Magus Symbiotes—was changing.
It took a few minutes until the light died down and disappeared from Fleur and also from him. He wasn't sure what had happened, but something was different; he felt a bit more handsome. It was hard to explain.
Fleur's beauty had also grown; she gave off an almost ethereal feeling. Like his own strange feeling of handsomeness. "This shouldn't have happened," he muttered.
"Yes, the Veela part in me was suddenly enhanced by the symbiote and changed something in the symbiote." Fleur said it in perfect Ancient, her French accent missing.
"Not just something. I gave you a regular symbiote. But yours somehow mutated into a queen. Congratulations! You are now part of the Royal Family. Also, it affected me; is something different about me?" Harry asked, a bit worried. While Fleur's Symbiote mutated into a Queen, like in Hermione's Empress Symbiote, the whole control part where he could force the Symbiote to kill her if she should betray him was missing. He just hoped that Fleur was a unique case and that it didn't affect the others.
"Yes, you look more handsome. And you have an allure like a Veela." Fleur said, "So I am now part of the Royal Family; does that mean I became your wife?"
"Normally, yes, but in your case, only if you want." Harry replied nervously; he really didn't need a new faction of Magi, with the knowledge of the Ancients; good that he didn't pass too much knowledge on.
"Perfect~" Fleur purred as she placed a kiss on him. "I had a crush on you after you so heroically saved my little sister. But something prevented me from having my chance with you when I met you again. And I especially moved to London. So I would like to use my second chance!"
