章節 87: Talk!
"You have been running out of your mouth without knowing anything, and I have had enough now."
Hiruzen said coldly but he saw no change in Kidou's expression.
"I didn't give any order related to assassination, and they must have acted on their own."
"Heh, are you sure about this? Attacking fellow ninjas is a crime, and with this, I can do whatever I want with them." Kidou asked and Hiruzen gritted his teeth and looked at Sakumo and Jiraiya lying on the ground.
He thought that they were unconscious because of their breathing, not knowing that they had seals on them, and were listening to everything.
"Yes, I gave no orders such that. But you have no authority in this matter. I will look into it, and you don't need to worry about anything."
Kidou looked at Hiruzen for a moment and then he snickered.
"Haha, are you serious? I was attacked but I have no authority in this matter? Hmm, maybe you are right, but you also have no authority in this. Let me send them to the Police and they will deal with this."
"I am sure Uchiha would be happy to take care of two Kage Ninjas under you, won't they? Between me, and my wife, who has Uchiha Student, and you, who has been suppressing them, I am sure they would choose us as we also have the strongest in the village behind us, i.e., my grandma."
Hiruzen's expression turned bad at his words, and he didn't expect Kidou to counter this option too.
Listening to both of them, Sakumo and Jiraiya were in a sad mood, and they didn't want a big conflict to happen in the village.
"Just what in the hell do you want?" Hiruzen shouted in a strong tone, and Kidou smiled at him.
"Didn't I say? I will make you four bleeds heavily. That's what I want. The current Senju clan doesn't even have 100 members. The Uchiha clan has less than 2000 members."
"The Hyuga clan are senile bastards so let's not talk about them. The Ino-Shika-Chou together have around 4-5000 members."
"But, Elder Koharu's little clan has around 3000 members, including the ones spread outside. Elder Homura's clan has around 2500 members. Shimura clan has around 4500 clan members, and above all, Sarutobi Clan alone has more than 5000 members."
"Haha, I don't understand how your little clans gained a lot of members while the Kekkai Genkai and Secret Technique clans haven't increased much."
"Not only that, your policy of promoting Civilian Ninjas, and demoting Clan Ninjas! Oh, wait! Sarutobi, Shimura, Mitokado, and Utatane Clan, hmm! Or, I should say, families! They get compensation and use the policies for both clan ninjas, and civilian ninjas. Why?"
"What do you think of this? The actual strong ones are in decline while weak ones like you are flourishing? Let's not about your wife's attempt at looking at secret files in Medical Academy."
"If my wife wasn't generous, the Hokage's woman would be charged with treason for peeking at files she isn't allowed to."
"To be honest, I have always been ignoring you and trying not to bother with you because Grandma asked me to respect the position of Hokage, but you have crossed the line that you shouldn't have crossed."
"Do you think I can't see your thoughts? Do you think I don't know that you want to use our love for the village to forget this matter? Do you think I don't know that you used Jiraiya and Sakumo because I and Tsunade have some friendship with them?"
"I know everything and that's why I won't let you play as you wish this time. Why? It's simple! It's because Hokage is Konoha's Hokage, but Konoha isn't Hokage's Konoha."
"You can't expect to get away every time by simply apologizing or saying that I will look into the matter and then provide a fake result."
"Others might have forgiven you or accepted your words, but I won't. It's because I accepted Grandma's request to keep the village safe and inherited First Hokage's will."
"For the sake of the village, suffer, Third Hokage. Bleed heavily for the village so that you will remember this day for your whole life and know that if you made a major mistake as Hokage, there is someone in the village that can help the village in changing the Hokage."
Kidou said with a calm look on his face and Hiruzen looked down and listened to his words silently. Tsunade beside him was trying to suppress her laugh because of the bullshit Kidou spoke with a serious look on his face and she knew that out of every word that he had spoken, even grandma wouldn't believe 30% of them.
His talk for the village was only a 'talk', and she knew that the reason why he said it was because of her as she plans on becoming Fourth Hokage and for the village should be her motto.
It's just Tsunade felt satisfied and cool in her head when she looked at Hiruzen getting attacked with his own words. She had heard him saying that everything is for the village, and now it's his turn to suffer.
Hiruzen looked down and his hands under the desk were clenched tightly. Hearing all the words, Hiruzen felt humiliated, and he felt like a sword was hanging on his head. A sword he couldn't remove, and he knew that today's humiliation would be hard to repay.
"Tell me your demands," Hiruzen muttered while gritting his teeth and only he knew how hard he was holding back himself from snapping.
It was because Hiruzen knew that if he snapped and attacked them in anger, his head would be rubbed on the ground, and he would lose most of the things he had built.
"It's the third time you are asking but you haven't answered the question. Are you going to comply with your teacher, the Second Hokage's will?"
Kidou asked with an annoyed look on his face and Hiruzen looked at the scroll with no expression on his face.
"We four will comply with it," Hiruzen said, making Koharu and Homura shudder at his expressionless face while Kidou smiled at him.
"Next, let's talk about these two. I don't have anything for Jiraiya, but ANBU Commander is different."
"I want Tsunade to become the opposition party, and dissolution of Hokage Advisors and Hokage Assistants."
"She will have rights for constructive criticism of Hokage, putting restrictions on the arbitrariness of the Hokage, Safeguarding liberty and the rights of people in the village, preparation to form the next Hokage and Expression of public opinion."
"You have another option of not dissolving Hokage Advisors and Assistants, but the same number of people can be added by Tsunade in her opposition party."
"Third, I want ANBU Commander to work for Tsunade for the next three years and he will listen to her words only."
"At last, I will be getting a few people back in my Senju Clan, and I want 100 blank registration papers on which you will have no right to look and order."
"That's all for now and I don't think you have anything else you can give."
Kidou said after thinking for a moment and Tsunade looked at him with an astonished look on her face. She was dumbfounded by Kidou's words as they were the same as cutting off half of Hokage's authority in the village.
Even Homura and Koharu were stunned by Kidou's audacity, but they didn't say anything and looked at Hiruzen who had no change in his expression.
The reason is that Hiruzen could feel two chakra pressure on him, and he understood that it was Mito who had arrived and listened to everything.
The other one is probably from Kidou, and looking at the young man in front of him, Hiruzen knew that if he didn't agree with his words, then let's not talk about half of the authority, it wouldn't be strange for him to lose his position as Hokage of the village if a meeting is called and Mito participated in the matter.
Before, if Mito participated in the meeting, everyone else would have 50% votes and her vote alone would be equal to 50% of the votes. But now with the Senju Clan Head added to the meeting, and Tsunade as Medical Academy head, the trio alone could influence the meeting on their own.
'Haha! I have been demoted from Hokage to a whetstone for Tsunade to get experience before becoming Fourth Hokage.'
Hiruzen thought in his mind, and he could more or less guess their intentions in this matter. Also, the chakra fluctuations he felt when Kidou talked about the opposition party, he understood that even Mito was stunned by the proposal.
Then, the chakra pressure on him increased and this made him understand that he had already lost the battle before it even started.
A glint flashed in Hiruzen's eye, and he looked at Tsunade who stared at Kidou with a dumbfounded look on her face.
'Since Tsunade is confirmed to become Fourth Hokage, I will use the remaining time to temper and let her become the perfect Hokage. Even if I did some bad things, and made incorrect decisions, no one can deny my love for the village.'
'Since Tsunade is the future of the village, let me burn these remaining years to let her understand everything so that the village will get better in future. This will be my decision as Hokage and my will of fire.'
A serious look appeared on Hiruzen's face, and his demeanour changed. Kidou and Mito noticed the change and various thoughts flashed in their mind.
"I agree with your demands, but I have some conditions."
"What is it?" Kidou asked and Hiruzen smirked at Tsunade and said, "You won't be helping her anymore and you won't be part of the opposition party. The only support you can show to her will be as her husband, but not as Senju Clan head."
"It is the same for Mito-Sama and she also needs to remain a Neutral party between Hokage and the Opposition. These are my demands, or I won't agree to this matter."
Kidou looked at Hiruzen with a strange look in his eyes and a chuckle escaped his lips.
"I agree!"
"I also agree."
Another voice was heard in the room, and they saw Mito appearing in the room while wearing a red Kimono, with another woman beside her.
"I will remain the neutral party between two, and make sure that you two won't go overboard."
Mito said while walking to the table, and she stood beside Kidou. She put her hand on Kidou's head and moving her fingers in between his hair, she said, "I will also make sure that he won't go overboard in his help as he is much more helpful as family than Clan Head."
"Tsk!" Tsunade clicked her tongue at Grandma Mito's words and Mito chuckled at her.
Hiruzen looked at the trio and then he sighed. He understood that Kidou is more family-oriented than village-oriented and this made him wonder why Mito chose him as grandson-in-law.
Mito saw the questioning and curious look in Hiruzen's eyes, but she didn't answer them.
"Hiruzen, this might be the last time I will call you in regard to your relationship with Tobi. I didn't go out much, so I didn't know before, but after moving around, I have one question in my mind that bothered me a lot."
"Why can your clan flourish but mine can't? Is it because Hashi was too strong that you all fear another Hash with his strength but not his personality?"
"Or, because my clan had a conflict of interest with you all, even though it was us who provided you a place where you can be free of worries about getting attacked anytime?"
"I wonder if you can answer this question of mine before I take my leave with my granddaughter and grandson," Mito said with a melancholic look on her face, and Hiruzen looked down at her words.
He didn't have any answer to the question, no, even if he did, he couldn't give the answer as he didn't face his ugly side at the moment.
Looking at the silent Hiruzen, Mito had no change in her expression, and she turned around to take her leave.
Kidou sneered at Hiruzen as he looked at him looking down and he also stood up to take his leave. Tsunade was about to leave but Kidou stopped her and said, "Finalize all details, and end the talk. I have given you the chance and take as much advantage as you can. He can't cheat or I should say that he doesn't dare to cheat."
Saying this, Kidou gave Tsunade a goodbye kiss on the cheek, and he left the room with Mito, ignoring the pleading look in the two guys lying on the ground.
