The next day started out great, waking up next to Vincent, having a sweet breakfast together, me shyly sending both him and Anya off with lunchboxes I'd prepared the night before as he sent me the most dazzling smile. After a lingering hug, he stepped out with Anya, leaving me sighing.

Today's the day. I have to tell Avery.

With a dark cloud over my head and a heavy heart, I got dressed and made my way to university. Every time I spotted Avery down a hallway, I quickly turned around and disappeared out of sight, hoping to delay the inevitable as much as I could.

Somehow, I managed to get through the whole day without running into him, but my heart thundered with every step as I made my way to the parking lot, knowing he'd be waiting for me like he did almost everyday now.
