章節 103: Ali's Ritual

This guy came at the wrong time, Manny thought, his eyes darting back at the trash bin where he threw the tissue and lotion.

But he doesn't seem to suspect it.

After waiting for a while, he looked at the clock and saw that there are only 10 minutes left before midnight. He stood up, "Help me push the sofa."

Ali, already on the verge of falling asleep, woke up. "Alright." he said. They both cleaned up an area for the ritual to happen. Ali stood in the middle and waited for his birthday to come.

Manny also had anticipation in his heart. He also wanted him to succeed, and another Holder would emerge from the guild. He felt sorry for him, but he would make it up to him if he failed and didn't accept his offer of becoming an agent.

"How much time left?" Ali asked.

"2 minutes," Manny said. "When you feel the calling, don't fight it and just let your body free."

"Got it."
