章節 3: Chapter Two:
Main Character Pov~
I was currently finishing building my workshop in the cave as I recalled all the events that had transpired last week. Man, that was one hell of a week.....
I went back inside the tent and looked beside me and saw the Egg inside the incubator, man it is taking so long to hatch.... I guess I should continue with my plan.
Working out and focus on Aura and Psychic abilities for the time being, That's my current plan. Wait for the egg to hatch before going back to civilization, I will undoubtedly be running into countless wild Pokemon as I venture outside, I will definitely try to explore the current area I am in a bit more, to grasp a big understanding of what I am dealing with here. Last night something huge was happening, it was battle between two different Pokemon tribe in the mountain next to us, to claim territory, they destroyed that entire mountain in the process and the victor was unclear.
I managed to keep this cave hidden by covering the cave entrance with vines and massive leaves and sticks. It's not perfect, but it will do for now.
" My body's a lot stronger thanks to all my routine work outs. But I haven't gotten anywhere with Psychic or Aura training in terms of practical usage sadly." I muttered as I recounted what happened during the last few days.
Only a month and 1 week left for that darn egg to hatch. From my observations, it seems I am in a Massive Mountain Range near the borders of Kanto and Johto, Close to Mt. Silver, Victory Road and Indigo Plateau. This mountain range is extremely massive, enough to fit in a continent like Europe inside of it, and it's just a fraction of the Kanto Region, I am basically in the middle of the Boonies, in God knows where.
Pretty Tragic, isn't it?
As I chuckled, I suddenly felt a massive tremor.
" Not again, These Wild Onix are going to destroy this mountain at this rate." I sighed as I sat on my wooden chair, Onix are relatively passive, they eat rocks and metals and don't bother humans, they can eat normal food if they want to. They are extremely deadly though, one swipe of their massive tail and your dead, I haven't seen them, but the Pokedex told me it was the roar of an Onix, and according to the Pokedex entry they were freaking massive. Way bigger than what the games and anime put out, the full height was around an average of 15 meters for the Onix and 20 meters for the Steelix. They were the cause of all these Roars I heard when I first came here.
Apparently, this Mountain belongs to a very powerful wild Steelix, The Mountain that was destroyed last night was split between 2 Wild Rhyhorn and Rhydon Tribes each led by a Rhyperior, according to the Pokedex they were massive too. Thankfully my Pokedex had the ability to determine the Pokemon activity around me.
There were dozens of mountains laying all around, and each one seemingly belonged to a Pokemon Clan, I don't know much but apparently most of the Wild Pokemon seem scared to go the nearby unactive Volcano, which happens to be largest in this mountain range. For some reason or another, judging by how they seemed to avoid that direction like a plague.
This is how the Pokedex described it anyways, it said that most Pokemon in this mountain seem seemingly afraid of whatever is in there. I have a feeling that whatever is in there is powerful, really powerful.
I am definitely steering away from that place for now, I could really use a Pokemon right about now, but I am apparently in a high levelled area so none of the Pokemon in this mountain range are weak, according to what I have been told. I am really happy I have a Pokedex that has data on several region habitats.
The Onix and Steelix Clan have apparently been tolerating my Prescence in their mountain, either that or they haven't noticed me yet.
I have a decent affinity with Rock, Steel and an extremely good affinity with Ground. All these affinities play a massive role on the Onix and Steelix lifestyle as they eat rocks and metals every day. Maybe that's why I wasn't attacked this whole week of my stay here, despite me being in their apparent territory, I mean they don't really eat humans so I don't see why they would come for me.
That was my guess anyways, I remember that the system told me that an affinity with a certain Pokemon Type affects Pokemon behaviour towards me.
I don't have to worry about Ground types and Fire Types since my affinity is fairly high. Rock, Steel and Poison Types, however, is a bit less so. If the system is to be believed my affinity with them is Super Rare with Poison and Very Rare with Rock and Steel, so it should be good enough to make them less violent towards me.

Affinities are still a mystery to me, how much of an effect an affinity has on Pokemon is another mystery in itself.
Anyways, there was something else that happened during this week, I have 2 new skills now. I also levelled up some of the older skills, but not by much, but it is something to be happy about. For me atleast, anyway.

These are the results of my attempts at improving my stats.
I managed to level up my Observe to 9 during this week, I had to spam the hell out of this skill though, but it slowly became slower and slower as I levelled up.
My Cooking went from 35 to 38 which is also cool, but I don't know if it's going to help my survival here. My Exercising took a big leap though, from twenty-eight to 36! I guess all these workouts in the cave helped.
Language Translation is still at level 25 as I haven't found the time to talk, write or read anything. i mean I already had my hands full with trying to train my muscles. More importantly, I have gotten both Meditation and Aura Sense. I can't use aura yet, but I can faintly sense it, it's not perfect at all but it's better than nothing.
How did I get Aura sense you ask? I spent a lot of time meditating near my Egg and eventually sensed a pulse of energy from it! Turns out Pokemon Eggs emit a lot of Aura during their hatching Phase as they form from the inside, pretty cool if I do say so myself.
Speaking of Eggs, it's about time I do my thrice in a day checkup on the Egg.

When I first put it in the incubator, it went from 3 months to one month and a half which is roughly 1 month and 2 weeks, it went down by a week. That means I will have my Pokemon soon!
Still, A month and one week is a very long time. " Random Ground Type" Pokémon is very vague; it could literally be any ground type, there is like dozens of ground types out there. I hope it's a Gible. Gibles are dual type Pokémon, Ground Type and Dragon Type. According to what I am seeing there a 50% chance it may end up being a Dual type Pokemon and 1.56% percent chance to become a shiny. There a ' Read More' option, apparently too but I don't feel like reading it, I doubt I will get any of them.
I really wonder, what will hatch out of the egg, at this point it's anybody's guess.
Thankfully I already have the Pokeballs required for catching it, I have 5 Ultra Balls, 1 Beast Ball and one Master Ball on me.
I also need to get to civilization, but something keeps telling me I should stay longer. I will wait for the Egg to hatch first before making any moves.
Tomorow I will leave the cave and do some exploring, Should I take the egg with me or leave it in the cave? It's too big, I can't take it around.
By the way the egg appearance is seemingly becoming more vibrant, the brown is becoming livelier, and a hint of crimson is in there, making it look more Reddish Brown, the eggshell is becoming more robust, though it didn't really help much in identifying whatever is inside of it.
It's still in the early stages of egg development, after all.
" I can't wait to see you hatch out of that egg buddy." I said as I touched the eggshell, at that very moment I felt like there was a connection deepening as if the egg had replied back, saying ' Me too!' as the Egg wobbled for a single second and stopped moving.
I smiled and nodded as I stood up and went to my sleeping bag as I began fiddling with my Pokedex and checking some stuff.
' Too bad they don't have an alarm clock on this thing.' I thought as I stashed it back in and went to sleep, tomorrow is exploration day.
~ One Night later
I was snoring loudly as I sleep soundly, I was woken up by the usual morning tremors I felt around this mountain.
I yawned and woke up, " Seems like they are back at it again today, Well lets cook some food for breakfast, I used some berries and plants I found outside the cave and cooked it alongside the meat, thankfully another feature in the Pokedex was telling you what plants were safe and edible to eat, which is a really helpful feature. Pokedex's are awesome! Unless its only unique to this Pokedex, I don't know if all Pokedex's are as good as mine, but I am kind of grateful for it.
I packed my stuff, wore a black robe and put everything I needed in my backpack as I moved out of the cave and saw the morning sky and some bird Pokemon tweeting nearby, I went for a walk.
I spent the next few hours walking in the mountain, exploring. I also figured out that every single mountain in this place was way bigger than Mt. Everest. The Pokemon world is insane. There was no way I would fully explore this mountain in a few hours, as for the Pokemon I encountered, it was a couple of Zigzagoon's, Pidgey's, Deerling's and some Geodude's. They didn't notice me, I was extremely slow and quiet during my adventure, I hid and stayed away from everything loud.
But the Zigzagoons were as big as grizzly bears back from my world, why are they so massive? not just Zigzagoons but everything was massive in this world both Plants and Pokemon.
I was currently now on my way back to the cave after finishing my exploration for the day, it was also getting very late.
' I have to admit, this world is really beautiful. it was really difficult to find such a nature rich environment in my world without any signs of humans.
I chuckled as I stepped on a massive rock trying to pass through, to my shock however, what I stepped on wasn't on a rock as it started moving as I walked ahead, the ground started shaking as I froze.
I started looking behind me as I heard rumbling from the ground behind me as rocks fell on the ground and something massive had emerged.
I looked behind me nervously as I stepped back.
A massive shadow engulfed me as everything around me was covered in its shadow, As the dust settled the massive titan creature was revealed to be an Onix, it was around 16.5 meters in height! and as it Stood upwards fully it was a fucking massive rock snake! just its eyeball alone was almost my size.
" ROOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRRR!!!!!!!" The Onix roared loudly as the forest shook from its deep voice as the winds became more violent before it gazed on me in rage at being stepped on while it was sleeping.
The forest became silent as all the nearby Pidgey's flew away from the Onix, which makes sense considering this mountain belonged to the Onix and Steelix Clan of this mountain range.
I took out my Pokedex and gulped as I scanned the Onix.
" Onix the Rock Snake Pokémon, this chain of immense stones resembles a giant serpent. Tremors shake the earth above as it burrows deep beneath the ground, feeding on boulders as it goes. When it travels underground, it causes rumbling and tremors. It can move at 50 mph. Onix has a magnet in its brain. It acts as a compass so that this Pokémon does not lose direction while it is tunnelling. As it grows older, its body becomes increasingly rounder and smoother. This is the pre-evolved form of Steelix, this particular Onix is ready for evolution." The Pokedex ended as it scanned the Onix, the writings inside the Pokedex telling me that this Onix was roughly around 22 years old and that it was a male.
I tried to Observe it, but it seems my Trainer Level and Observe Level was too low as I didn't get any useful information about the Onix, the gap between me and this Onix in too big.
Apparently the more Pokemon I have and the stronger my Pokemon are, the higher my Trainer level is. It also applies to what I can see with my Observe. My Character Status Trainer level didn't increase if I won a fight or killed something but levelled up if the level of my Pokemon increase.
The higher my level is, the stronger I become as I could increase my stats. I have no Pokemon at the moment, so I was only level one at the moment.
What I did get however, was its level. The Onix was apparently an AAA - Ultimate Class Pokémon, it's a level 112 Pokemon. According to the Pokedex this Onix is apparently at the perfect stage of its life for evolution, I assume it only needs a metal coat for its evolution. Too bad I couldn't see its Potential with my Observe yet, it must have a fairly decent potential.
The Onix who had been silent the moment it saw me. Once the Pokedex finished speaking, it looked at me blankly as it analysed me, I stared back in shock seeing it in the Pokedex and in real life were two completely different experiences, it was a dual Pokemon a Rock - Ground Type, I have an affinity with both of these affinities, so it shouldn't attack me, right? I thought nervously as it stared at me with its gargantuan eyes before its gaze softened as it sniffed me as its snout pushed me down to the ground, I fell down on the Ground as I felt how truly big it was! the Onix eventually stopped, just its eyes alone were larger than my whole body, The Onix looked at me and snorted before it turned its attention away and turned around and left slowly.
'That was frightening! I felt like I was in front of absolute death.' I thought as I was sweating from the absurd amount of Aura, I was feeling from this Onix, what a Powerful Pokemon it was, it could have ended me right then and there.

I suddenly felt my aura sense improve, my aura sense gave me a feel of how powerful a Pokémon was, and right now I felt like I was an ant in front of a massive gargantuan storm, I think I am lucky I and should be grateful I ended up in an Onix and Steelix territory, and having an affinity with Ground and another affinity with Rock, otherwise it might have ended up badly for me.
When I felt that Onix's aura, I feel like we had somewhat of a harmonious Aura connection that made me feel comfortable, that Onix must have felt it too considering how it's a Pokemon and Pokemon can sense Aura with no difficulty.
That must be the reason why it seemingly lost its anger. It just so happened that I have an extremely high affinity with it, My Rock type affinity was an A - Rank, and was labelled as a Very Rare Affinity by the system so it must atleast give the Pokemon an initial good first impression of me at minimum.
However, I doubt it would have made it lose its anger like that so there is only one conclusion left. My other affinity, The Ground Type- SSS Rank Heavenly Affinity. The way it made a complete 180 on its mood and how fast its expression changed already says a lot about this affinity, it was a miraculous affinity effect that showed me how fortune I was at that very moment.
I watched in awe and amazement as I saw the gigantic beast of stone slowly leave as it formed a large path of devastation as it dragged itself massive body of powerful rocks around as the ground shook as it crawled away.
I let out a sigh of relief, thank God Onix weren't aggressive in nature. They are gentle giants who act passively most of the time. The ground began to shake as I put my focus back on the Onix who was digging a hole as it shook the surroundings it slowly went back underground to God knows where, I watched as the Onix disappeared from sight in just mere moments. It had gone deep underground causing tremors and shaking as it left, also leaving behind a massive hole in the ground where it had dug into.
" So that was the Prescence of a level 112 Pokemon, huh? I must admit it's quite a terrifying experience indeed." I said as I witnessed how the ground was still shaking even as the Onix had went deeper and deeper into the ground.
Eventually the tremors vanished after a few minutes and I decided to continue my path, 10 minutes later I was in front of my cave, I lit up a torch as it was becoming dark outside.
" What a fun day that was, I also managed to learn quite a few new things today." I said as I slowly opened the way into the cave and went inside, I lit the torches and the campfire as I sat on my wooden chair.
Both about this system and this world.
Let's see how much my Aura Sense and Observe had levelled up.

Just sensing the aura of that Onix was enough for me to level up my Aura Sense by 4 times huh, observe on the other hand increased by only two levels.
I wonder if I will be able improve Aura, Psychic and my other abilities more if I tried learning and using Pokemon as anchors to improve my learning speed? Improving via Pokemon seems like the way to go.
I sat there for a couple moments thinking about how to increase my mastery over Aura.
" It's too early to go to sleep, I think it's better if we focus on meditation and training my aura sense and try to use it a bit more." I nodded to myself as I went and sat down near the Egg and Incubator and spent the next hours training my Meditation and Aura Sense as I tried to get better at sensing Aura and using it.
The next few days were also spent training both my body, mind and aura. I also kept trying to increase the level of my Observe skill.

" OH MY GOD!!!!! FINALLY!!!" I roared and yelled in excitement, you don't the ridiculous amount of pain and suffering it took for me to reach this point. It literally took me freaking 2 whole weeks! to even get those skills.... It took a lot of exercising and levelling up, I had to go out and observe and use aura sense on several wild Pokemon every now and then. It was such a pain considering I had to literally grind my ass off to make any sort of progress.
Even getting those skills was a pain, how much of a pain will it be to level them up? I tried to learn how to use my Psychic abilities, but I didn't succeed, it turns out I need to have an affinity with Psychic Pokemon to be able to use Psychic abilities. What a pain.
I also learned it's easier to learn Aura with my Ground Type and Fire Type affinities, Ground is even more ridiculous, it also seems like Ground Type Aura is the best for me to direct and sense, it was like second nature to me, Fire Type Aura is a bit more difficult as it requires a lot more focus and concentration to sense.

Progress is still Progress; I have been here for three weeks so far, and I do thankfully feel like I am getting somewhere. Though unfortunately, levelling up my skills keeps becoming more and more difficult each time I experience level up, the higher I go the harder it becomes.
With Aura Control I can finally control the flow of Aura in my body more freely, I can also manifest Aura a lot better. I can create small rocks the size of pebbles and small sparks of fire as of right now, that's the only thing I can do at the moment.
Seems like my Aura reserves are too weak and low right now. I need Pokemon to level myself up, I have no other choice but to wait until my egg hatches, I am currently too weak to catch any Pokemon on my own.
I could probably catch that Lv. 112 Onix I saw last week with my master ball, but that would be stupid, I wouldn't waste it on an Onix. I have no idea how expensive Master Balls are in this world. I have the 5Ultra Balls and the Beast Ball, I may have a massive double affinity with that Onix, but I wasn't willing to risk pissing it off by throwing an Ultra Ball that is unlikely to catch it.
I am also saving that Beast Ball for the future, and it is ten times worse at catching Ordinary Pokemon than a Pokeball;, so yeah there is that.
Most of the Pokemon around this mountain range are above level 50, I can't just throw an Ultra Pokeball and hope to catch any of them by chance or luck. I am also not willing to waste my only Master Ball, which literally has a 100% catch rate. I also doubt Pokemon will listen to someone who caught them out of their own will without challenging them first. I may have a S - Rank Fire Affinity and SSS - Rank Affinity but I wasn't about to test my luck without any insurance of my safety if thing were to go dire.
So, in conclusion, the best thing to do is wait for that Egg to hatch and keep my fingers crossed. I also still can't see Pokemon Potential yet with my Observe, and to see Potential with my Pokedex I need to catch them first.
So yeah, all I can do is focus on increasing the level of my Skills and wait for my egg to hatch. Without a Pokemon, going outside of the Onix and Steelix territory isn't safe, who knows what will happen or what is out there? there is a lot of mountains I need to pass by before encountering a human settlement. That includes passing by the giant dormant volcano, unfortunately.
Using my premature Aura Sense, I can feel a lot of unpleasant auras coming from that direction. Seems like there is something happening there, or there is a dangerous Pokémon wreaking havoc in there.
But what's really been catching my attention is my Egg. The aura inside is starting to become more and more dense, it's even gathering Ground - Type Aura from the Environment! The Egg also underwent a few notable changes in its appearance.
As its outer shell had become more Armour-Like from its previously robust shape, and definitive lines appeared, the lines got darker and darker as time passes by, and spiky horn-like protrusions are forming on the outer shell of the egg and the shell itself had become more vibrant and alive than before, such an interesting egg shape and colour.
It's becoming more and more Powerful as time passes by. It's also a lot heavier than before, it felt hollow but somewhat alive before, but now it's becoming more and more complete as it draws closer and closer towards its hatching point.
Only three weeks are left for it to hatch from its egg.
I went and used my Observe on my egg.

" I have enough food and water to last me for another month, so roughly four weeks, Enough time for the egg to hatch." I said as I was reading the screen.
I knelt down and began training my new skills, Aura Control and Aura Manifestation. As I was close to my Egg. I noticed the Aura of the Pokemon inside the egg trying to help me as it sent some of its aura inside of my body.
I opened my eyes wide in shock as I saw how the Pokemon Egg's Aura was showing me how to control and manifest the Aura.
I immediately took advantage as I closed my eyes and let the aura of the egg guide me as it showed me how to control my Aura and manifest it efficiently, I gasped as I noted how it effortlessly manipulated my own Aura and showed me how I was doing it all wrong. You don't command aura using orders or forcefully, you merely will the aura and it will follow you and assist you, it also improved my senses.
I followed its steps and did the same, I closed my eyes and spent the next couple of hours practicing and refining my control over the aura, the egg kept refining and fixing my mistakes as I kept improving.
By the time I opened my eyes and saw that some light was penetrating the small openings between vines and leaves, it was already morning. I had spent all night practicing and I feel extremely drained and exhausted, the Aura from the egg had gone back inside as I was practicing the whole night, it seems.
" That was a very eventful night." I chuckled as I looked around me and noticed a screen beside me.
