The room seemed to hold its breath as we locked eyes, our gazes tracing the lines of time that marked the passage of a decade. Then, as if a dam had burst, emotions flooded the space between them. Elera, tears streaming down her face, whispered my name.

"Richard."

I rushed forward, and we collided in a tight embrace that transcended time and separation.
