The room was silent for a few seconds as all of them processed it.

Even Loreen was surprised by it, but she was fully grateful for it. 

Edmund deserved that slap, and by his own mother, nonetheless.

She once thought Aunt Selma coddled all her children too much and only sided them. Thankfully, she also corrected them when they were wrong.

Moreover, since Aunt Selma almost always nitpicked on every little mistake she made, the former was among Loreen's least favorites among Edric's relatives.

But who knew Aunt Selma would be the one who would save her from this predicament.

Loreen was very much grateful that Aunt Selma could also be reasonable and fair.
