(Titus's POV)
"You fell in love with me, didn't you?" I blurted out, and Kama's killing intent nearly made me shiver. If I hadn't sealed her magical powers, she might have torn down the cubic walls, the only barrier keeping us from being swept into the Imaginary Numbers Space.
"Why do you…" Kama began to question, but then she smirked and changed her tone, "If you already know, are you going to be stuck to me, becoming my slave or something so that your 'Mission' gets completed? Or will you say 'I love you, Kama,' like you said to a trillion other girls?"
She was clearly upset. To ease the tension, I decided to lower my tone.
"A trillion might be a bit excessive. I mean, sure, my little dragon might be able to take down every single woman known to mankind, whether in reality or fantasy, but I will become dust before I could reach that mark…" I attempted a joke, but Kama's disgusted face didn't change, "Sorry for the bad joke…"
I seriously need to work on my humor.
"Pffft!" It was at that moment Kama snickered before bursting into laughter, "No matter what you try, you always come up with bad jokes." Kama laughed and then grinned at me, "After all, I have known you for 1000 years, more than any of your 'wives or husbands' have known."
Yeah, in the Moon Cell Holy Grail War, she tortured me for 1000 years. I had no idea what had happened since I was missing my memories. But what I did know is that Kama fell in love with me.
Nero, Tamamo, and even Rin – Kama also fell in love with me. To be honest, I have no idea what they saw in that boring me of Moon Cell.
But what I do know is that Kama's 'love' and the love I believe in are polar opposites. For me, love means respect and sacrifice for others. But these two aspects never existed in Kama's body language.
The only aspect in common, other than respect and sacrifice, was that she cared for me. Living with her during Morgan's mission, I realized she cared for me enough to consider it some kind of 'love.'
"However, Kama, you are a deity, and even after living with me for 1000 years, you never understood me and fell victim to my betrayal."
Betrayal. It was the only aspect I could think of.
Here's my theory: She must be angry at me for summoning her as a servant. She then tortured me for 1000 years, but I, as a soulless body, must have endured her. As a result, she fell in love with me, and I must have used this chance to manipulate her. I then must have used Kama to win the war before sacrificing her to Moon Cell, just like Morgan's plan. It was my hypothesis that led Kama to hating me and loving me in a sense.
"Titus Dusklock," Kama looked at me with a bored expression, "Come to the point. Are you going to answer my love or let me torture you for your betrayal?"
I smiled, "Neither. I will free you."
"Heh, as expected—wait, what?" Kama was stunned, "What did you say?"
I walked towards the edge of the cube and stared at the rainbow rays colliding with my eyes, "Kamadeva, you have always been used and then failed. You have been used by people for their love matters and then by Parvati to wake Shiva, but you failed when Shiva incinerated you with his third eye."
In a classic Hindu tale, the gods sought to unite the divine couple Parvati and Shiva for the sake of creation. However, Shiva, immersed in ascetic meditation, remained aloof to Parvati's charms. Determined to overcome this obstacle, the gods (or perhaps Parvati herself) enlisted the help of Kama, the god of love. Kama, armed with his irresistible arrows, struck Shiva, igniting a fiery passion within the meditating deity. This passionate response, however, was not what the gods had hoped for. Enraged by the intrusion, Shiva unleashed his destructive third eye, reducing Kama to ashes.
"And then you were viewed as a demon by people too."
In Buddhism, Kama is perceived akin to the embodiment of earthly cravings, identified with the demon Mara. The term "Mara" traces its roots to "one that kills" and is interpreted as "demon," "hindrance to Buddhist practices," and "demon king." That's how she gained her 'Evil' trait.
"But when you got freed and tried to mature as a Beast, you failed by a plot device called Ritsuka Fujimaru of Chaldea, didn't you?"
Yeah, in the end, she was defeated by the stupid plot of Fate/Grand Order. Fateverse depends on the plot of the MC pretty much the entire time.
"And then you were also used by me, not once but twice." I admitted, recounting how I summoned Kama in Moon Cell before leveraging her to achieve my ultimate goal.
Are you going to count my 1000 years of torture? Oh please, the Moon Cell me was just a husk. He was just a memory without any soul. My soullessness was probably the reason how 'I' was able to endure all those sufferings.
The point was, Kama failed again and again.
Kama's eyes wavered and turned down. Yeah, for a god like Kama, it must be such a humiliation that a human like me could never understand. However, now that I was like a demigod, I could sympathize with Kama at least.
I walked towards Kama and then pressed my finger against her chest. Kama widened her eyes when a small cubic object emerged from her chest.
"This is… Moon Cell?" Kama questioned, to which I scratched my cheek.
"Kind of…" I said, "It's a Mini Moon Cell. Check out its functions."
A few days ago, I researched and experimented with various things and finally created this mini version of Moon Cell. In Imaginary Numbers Space, it is almost impossible for a human to survive, but Kama, as a servant with the right aspect, could. With this Mini Moon Cell, she now became a free servant capable of surviving on her own.
However, it wasn't just limited to being a servant; it also gave Kama immense powers and many skills and abilities like being a foreigner. With this Moon Cell, just like me, Kama won't get affected by the 'FATE' of Nasuverse. I created this for Kama for her to be free. The cost? 2.5 million LPs. Sniff*
Another function was that…
"Oh damn, I can also turn into a man?" Kama said in a manly voice. Yup, Kama could also reverse her gender to her OG male self. I just decided not to look at his exposed body.
"Kama, you can also go to different timelines. Be reincarnated as a human in whatever timeline, even undoing your incineration from Shiva," I explained.
She could choose to be born in whatever timeline she would want. From this Imaginary Number Space, it was possible. She could even go back in time in her myth and change her fate from being burned.
"So Kama, you do not want love or inflict pain; you need to make a choice, not as a god of love or as a demon king but as Kama, a person free from their fate."
That's all I could conclude. The me from the Moon Cell must have realized this. That's why he left the fate of Kama in my hands. That's why Kama wasn't sent to the past like the rest of the servants. That's why there wasn't any specific task for Kama. Her fate was basically to be free.
Kama in his male form smirked and circled his finger on my chest, closing the distance. "What if I want a romance with you? What if I want to be with you?"
I knew that Kama was trying this to tease me, but I remained unfazed.
"Of course, I wanted to be with your woman self. I mean, you have a banging body, so I don't mind overlooking the fact that you have my friend's wife's body and a male soul. As for your man self, I will be your friend, your brother who will do anything for you." I smiled.
Kama stared at me for a couple of seconds before sighing, "You are no fun." Kama then turned into her woman self.
"But I am not sure for now. You don't understand love, and I think neither do I. Give me some time so that I could sort things out." I passed a low smile and looked at Kama, "But for now, I am leaving a choice to you. Be free for once and choose a fate for yourself."
"Titus…" Kama called my name, and a tear escaped from her eyes. "I-I don't want to leave you."
"Of course, you can come to my aid again. This is not a farewell; this is just a break."
It wasn't like she couldn't come to me again. I had used my Odin's Eye, and I was certain that we would meet again.
"You are one cruel person." Kama whispered while rubbing her eyes, "Hey, you don't have a 'no love, no kissing, policy, do you?"
"I do." I said to which Kama turned down. "And I think I don't see any problem why I can't kiss you."
A smile bloomed across Kama's face as she leaped towards me, wrapping her arms around my neck.
"Provide me with the greatest service." With those words, Kama sealed my lips. I was a little surprised by her assertiveness, but I complied with her request nevertheless. Wrapping my arms around her smooth body, I pressed my lips against Kama's. She smelled and, I think, also tasted like Sakura. After all, it was her body. However, there was a hint of sweetness as well as bitterness.
Her eyes were locked with mine, with tears flowing from the sadness of separation. On the other hand, I went to leave my gentleman self aside for now and fondle her body. I lifted her one leg and slipped my hand inside her intimate region.
"Mmm!" Kama moaned when I inserted my finger, but I was more surprised since she was tight. Maybe she was a virgin. I also fondled her ample breast, providing more stimulation. However, halfway through, I decided to be immersed in the kiss. For the last couple of minutes, only echoes of slurping roamed. In the floating Imaginary Numbers Space, Kama and I, eyes closed, kissed with passion.
Soon, when the time came, we decided to end things. We distanced with silver strings between our lips.
"Wow! You are better than your soulless self." Kama chuckled with a flushed face while catching her breath.
"And I think I am losing a banging woman." I said as I licked my finger. If you ignore all her questionable aspects like having Sakura's body and a male soul inside, she had banging assets. Maybe I should have kept her around and taken some doses of her voluptuous body.
"Say, what if I try to become a Beast again? What if I would try to help the Beast of your timeline? The sins of people meeting their death will fall on your hands."
Yeah, it would be a problem. I wouldn't have cared for others, but my parent self definitely didn't want Kama to hurt children. Icing on the cake would be her helping the Whore of Babylonia too. However…
"You will not do this."
She had already failed numerous times, so she won't go for the same old 'I am a demon king. Fear me, humans!' route.
"I believe you will make a different choice." I smiled and gently caressed her cheek.
"… yeah, as I thought, I really hate you." Kama said and then beamed a smile, "Farewell."
With that word, Kama melted into glimmering light particles, roaming away into the endless possibilities.
I also came back to earth and stared at the setting sun.
"A Pokémon release, huh…" I chuckled and then sighed. "I didn't even cry. Must be becoming used to this."
