章節 2: Saving Light
I didn't know how long its been, but the air in the tanks is only enough for 24 hours. If my feeling was right about the time in the stream, then with the experiment before I entered, I would only have 9 hours. As an unidentified thing near the core planet of the Republic, they should try to find out what it is, but it could take them some time if I wasn't a priority.
So I think of anything that could let me help to get attention from nearby spaceships. My first thought was the lamp to have light to repair on the dark side of the station, but there seems to be a problem with it. With the knowledge of the layout, I try to find it, but it is hard to move in a spacesuit 2 sizes to big.
The cable had a rupture, but with my Basic knowledge I try to fix it with the things available. To my luck we has a magnetic toolbox installed for minor issues or to accompany on spacewalks.
After 30 minutes the power was connected again and with newfound hope I signaled SOS to the passing ships.
I don't know if they have this signal here, but it couldn't hurt and like I hoped after some just went by because they wanted to mind their own business, a small corvette took me in.
I didn't had a compatible dockingpoint, so they fished me in a small chamber near their bay.
The air lock behind the capsule was closed and artificial gravity was activated so that I landed with a little crash.
Then I thought of another problem. Could I communicate with them?
Or anyone in this universe?
But my problems seem to be unfound as I could understand one of the two languages spoken at the other side of the door. Thank god or the Force, it was English. The people seem to be at the backside, so I couldn't see them, but since I don't believe they are pirates I manually open the capsule.
Outside I could see three people, a rodian, a human and a togruta, arguing. But as I climbed out they stopped and looked at me with their weapons defensively held, but not straight aiming at me.
"What are you doing here, kid?", the human asks.
"I seriously doesn't know how I ended up here. I was at the station above my planet, but a turbulence took me and Iended up here. Thanks for saving me, as I honestly don't know, how much air I had left."
"Well you seem alright kid, but which planet are you from?"
I didn't want trouble to make trouble for earth so I just told them the city I studied in: "I am from Cambridge, a small planet. I wouldn't be near there, would I?"
All three look at me.
"Haven't heard of it before. You?"
""No.""
"Well, if I may ask, where are we then?", I ask
"The planet below is Coruscant.", the togrutan replies.
"Wait I am at the core world?", I ask with my best acting.
"You seem quite surprised?"
"Of course I am. Never would have thought, I ever came here.", I say honestly. Never thought to come to Star Wars.
"Wait don't I need my papers, to land here?", I ask as I really don't know the procedure, but they shouldn't allow just anybody in their capital.
"I guess you didn't bring them."
"No they are at the station. Name is Mark by the way.", I say.
"Guess you have to spend a lot of time with the authorities, but since you are a minor, you shouldn't worry to much. I am Blorn Aros and we'll get you down at least.", the human says.
"Suvo Anwan, greetings.", the rodian says.
"Syalla Daruss.", the female togrutan indroduces herself.
"Nice to meet you and thanks again for bringing me with you.", I respond.
And with that we made our way down to the planet.
I hope the authorities here are more helpful than the bureaucratic officers on earth.
