Seeing my step-mother fuming with anger pleased me so well. When I saw her coming, I excused myself from Ryan to meet her halfway.

I know for a fact that she wouldn't create a show in front of everybody, especially in a party she hosted. That's not her style, upholding a good image was everything to her. Backing you to a corner where no eyes will witness the ugly side of her is more her thing. Hypocritical bitch!

"I thought this Gala was also to celebrate Junior as the successor" I mocked.

"and I thought I warned you about your rebellious act" looking at me from head to toe, to emphasize her disdain on my 'colour' of clothing.

I gasped, faking a regret look, "I tried but I found out black doesn't suit me except when I'm going to your funeral" smirking, I downed my drink.

She glared at me, "I can see you've shed your cold look, Ice princess, you've been taught how to talk back I see"
