The golden light of the sun bathed the forest surrounding Fusha Village, and the green leaves shimmered with the morning breeze.
Next to a waterfall, on a huge rock
Satoru sat in a lotus position, his starry eyes closed in contemplation.
"Before," Satoru began, slowly opening his eyes to meet Mai's gaze, "I had planned to simply train. Just that. We'd stay hidden here for a year, avoiding the navy's pursuit."
"So, you've changed your mind?" Mai, standing and adjusting her clothes, looked at him with curiosity.
Satoru nodded. "Yes. Thanks to the new knowledge I've acquired."
He raised his hand and, for a brief moment, an invisible aura glowed around him, showcasing a shadow of the power he held within. "Master Piccolo taught me mental techniques. I believe with them, I can fully awaken the Six Eyes."
"Six eyes?" Mai inquired, her brown eyes locked onto his, filled with curiosity.
Satoru chuckled sardonically. "It's an inherent power. Allows me to see beyond the norm. I believe that with the six eyes awakened, I can passively use observation haki to its fullest extent, without any special training. Oh, and I'll teach you about it later."
Mai nodded, recalling something. "And those powers... Blue, Red, and Purple? Are they part of this?" She moved closer, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, remembering the peculiar repelling ability Satoru used in Loguetown.
On the ship, he mentioned to her that it was part of his eyes' capabilities.
Satoru shook his head, his gaze becoming more intense. "Not exactly. Blue, Red, and Purple are modes of my inherent ability 'Limitless'. I can repel, pull, or combine. But for that, I need to use Conqueror's Haki, which complicates its usage. However, with these techniques, I can manipulate space."
When he unleashed the ability in Loguetown, she initially didn't understand. But after their escape, he had reflected deeply and understood he had instinctively used Conqueror's Haki in the heat of the moment.
That's why he struggled to frequently use the Limitless abilities, as there was no specific training for it.
He vowed that, after his death, he'd have a word with the entity that brought him here.
Was this written in fine print in the contract?
He sighed at the thought.
At least he confirmed one thing: he could certainly use Conqueror's Haki.
Mai watched him, lost in thought, then sighed, feeling a minor headache.
"All of this sounds somewhat complicated to me. But I'll always be by your side, whatever the plan."
Satoru smiled, appreciating Mai's loyalty, and then gazed back at the horizon.
"When I first came to this world, I only craved adventure, power, and freedom. But now... I want to make a change here. And for that, I need to be bolder; I can't remain in the shadows anymore."
"So, Goa Kingdom?" Mai smiled, determination shining in her eyes.
Satoru stood up, stretching. "Goa Kingdom it is. Let's hunt for more Devil Fruits. With them, I have new plans; we'll be invincible. But before that, it's time we recruit some new members."
