Chapter 42
Billy’s POV
I really want to track down the vampire with the scar on his face. I think the best way is to go to their lair and kill all the vampires. But Charles has a point. The vampire doesn't look easy and he scratched Charles's shoulder hard. In this case, we can't go into his lair without a plan. We must strengthen the training of our soldiers and prepare them for future battles.
Oddly enough, Charles suddenly asked me about something that happened a few years ago. I was a little confused. It was our first fight against vampires. It was a small fight. We barely talked about it.
“I have some recollection of this... We were heading west, and we finally caught him in the forest near the Red Moon Pack, and you broke the neck of that poor vampire.”
Charles paused, nodded thoughtfully, and let me go.
What's the connection? I mean, maybe Charles found a connection. Charles was always smart enough to pick up on the clues behind the little things.
