Kayla's POV
So, in the pitch-black mansion, with one hand holding Daisy and the other touching against the wall, I followed behind Harrison, step by step, heading towards his bedroom.
"Ah!"
"Be careful!"
By the time I realized it, Harrison, who had been walking ahead of us, was now by my side. His hand wrapped around my waist, preventing me from slipping to the ground. But as we all became aware of our intimate gesture, a hint of awkwardness flashed across Harrison's expression. He reluctantly released his support on me.
"Why are you so careless?"
Perhaps sensing a touch of reproach in Harrison's tone, Daisy pouted in dissatisfaction and retorted to him.
"It's not Mom's fault. There's a puddle on the floor! If Mom hadn't been holding onto the wall, we would have fallen together!"
