Knock, knock…

I stood outside the car, tapping on the window as it smoothly lowered, revealing Harrison's handsome face.

I bent down, maintaining a certain distance from the car, and smiled as I spoke.

"Daisy asked me to thank you. Thank you for coming today to fulfill her wish and specially escort her to school."

"Hmm."

Harrison glanced at me indifferently, and his expression seemed much softer compared to before.

"Get in."

"Oh, thanks. My office isn't too far from here, and I can take the bus..."

"Don't make me say it a second time, Kayla."

Faced with my polite refusal, Harrison turned his head, his gaze towards me becoming serious.

Perhaps it was because Harrison's extended Lincoln drew so much attention. Parents who were here to drop off their children at school turned curious gazes towards us.

I gritted my teeth, pulled open the car door, and got in.

The car started again after I settled in, silently gliding onto the road leading to the city center.
