The large supermarket was not far from Jaylene's home, just three or four kilometers away, but Joseph and she were out of luck. As soon as Joseph's car left the supermarket, they got stuck in a traffic jam.

"It looks like there's been a car accident up ahead," Joseph sighed with some helplessness as he patted the steering wheel, "Is this seriously trying to stop us from getting home early?"

They had bought a lot of stuff and wanted to get back home quickly to set everything up. They also needed to cook the steak and dory fish as soon as possible, but most importantly, there was the chocolate ice cream cake to take care of.

His plan was to take Jaylene to the supermarket, buy a bunch of things together, and then cook a romantic candlelight dinner for her.

But who knew things wouldn't go as planned? There was a car accident ahead, blocking the entire road, and it seemed like it would take a while before it was clear again.
