As the car approached Star Ocean City, his mobile phone rang. It was a call from his younger female cousin, Gale Summer. He answered the call and heard her voice: "Second brother, where are you now?"

"I'm in Star Ocean City," Joseph Thompson replied honestly. "What's up?"

"Oh, nothing. I'm just glad you're in Star Ocean City. I was worried that you were at Jaylene Ziel's place," Gale's voice came through, sounding amused. "Anyway, don't stay in Star Ocean City. Grandma wants you to come back to Thompson Manor."

"Okay, got it," Joseph Thompson agreed and chatted with Gale for a while before hanging up.

He didn't know why his grandmother wanted him to return, but he had nothing else to do tonight, and it seemed like it had been a while since he'd been back to Thompson Manor.
