April frowns, paling at that. "Sorry. Didn't know it was so difficult to be with me. You can stay on the couch tonight, and every other fucking night for the rest of your life just so you don't have to put up with me!"

Peter pales, too, obviously realizing what he said. "April, I-"

"Save it," she says, hopping off the counter and running for the stairs, obviously headed to their - her - room, tears forming in her eyes.

"April, wait!"

"I said save it!" She screams, whipping around to face him, tears running freely down her face. Peter's whole face falls when he sees that, and he stretches one hand out, as if he wants to hold her. April doesn't give him time to speak, twirling back around and running out of the kitchen. "And don't fucking follow me!"
