章節 14: Chapter 14you're strong old man but...
Author's Note: I'm back and no, I'm not dead or isekai so I want to continue this Fanfic.

Hiro's POV
"Ankokubutō!" old Kunieda yells creating a gust of wind that destroyed the hotel floor but luckily the building did not collapse.
Completing this infiltration mission is completely screwed up. Should I retreat?
That was one of the many thoughts invading my mind as I observed the floor debris.
"Don't look away kid, I'm honoring you by allowing you to witness the pinnacle of Kunieda clan patriarch" said a humanoid beast similar to a cross between a Komainu, a Shinto folklore creature, and a human.
(Author's Note: The Komainu, also known as "lion-fu" in China, is a pair of statue creatures resembling lions or dogs, often placed at the entrance to temples in Japan. They serve as protective guardians against evil spirits.)
"I have to admit his transformation is cool" I honestly thought admiring the old man's current appearance.
[Your world is really exciting Hiro. This man in front of you, I can't help feeling extremely close to him yet his presence disgusts me at the same time] the wolf demon's voice resonated in my mind with clear disgust.
"Old man, you're strong. You're among the strongest I've had to fight but before being a warrior, I'm an assassin so don't hold it against me" I said in my gravelly voice.
But the problem is that even with the combined wolf demon and future demon, he was able to close the physical strength gap between us and My advantage of having a head start thanks to the future demon was offset by his experience, sword technique, and the presence of his companion, who appears to have provided him with a better instinct.
Now I estimate that just by the atmosphere he gives off, he must be physically stronger than me so nothing guarantees I can still surpass him in speed.
"There's no shame in fighting dirty after all I'm not a true basic warrior but a mere assassin" I thought taking special glass vials from my pockets.
I have to finish off this man, I've learned enough from him anyway and I now know every weakness so there's no more reason to continue this charade.
After taking vials containing one of my insurances I threw them directly at the ceiling and their contents quickly spread across the floor.
"What did you do?" old Kunieda could only be confused by my strange actions.
It was predictable, it's currently dark because it's nighttime and almost all the floor lights are destroyed.
"Sorry I'm not a cliché villain to explain my attacks and anyway you'll understand soon" I said making a bloodthirsty smile looking at him.
Having a wolf head is handy since I can easily pick up various changes in the air and also hear sounds better than in my human form which is extremely useful in this kind of situation.
All my 5 senses are pushed to their limit, same for my instinct, because a small mistake right now means losing my head or a limb.
I started unleashing waves of claw swipes and omnidirectional attacks thanks to my supernatural agility towards old Kunieda and as I suspected, his physical strength has greatly increased and surpassed mine and it's the same for his speed.
Unfortunately for him, my goal is no longer to kill him right now, at least not at the moment, but to buy time for the substance contained in my shattered vials from earlier to spread through his body via the air.
Unfortunately, as time goes by, my regeneration gained through the Wolf Demon starts having trouble keeping up with the damage I'm sustaining.
"Do you understand the difference between us now young Hiro? Give up" said old Kunieda pinning me against the wall after stabbing me in the shoulder.
"Hahaha" hearing him, I couldn't help but burst out in mocking laughter towards him.
"What a waste, if only I could have met you under different circumstances" thought old Kunieda withdrawing his katana to finish off the boy in front of him.
But before he could strike his blade, he stumbled and fell to the ground, unable to move.
"What's going on?" he yelled in my direction angrily but because of the effects of the substance that had spread through the floor air and into old Kunieda's body, he ended up losing control of his body and consciousness.
"What's happening is that you lost, esteemed elder" I said to the unconscious man approaching him to drink his blood and activate my healing ability.
After drinking his blood from his wrist, Hiro dragged old Kunieda by the leg and left with him from the hotel casually.
"I'm going to use you as bait to lure Aoi" I said with an ominous smile on my once again human face.
Narrator's POV
"Young master, you came back late and who is this??" Canary was relieved to see Hiro since it was getting late but she wondered why the hell he was dragging an old man by the leg.
"Here Canary, take this man with you. Make sure to sever all the tendons in his arms and legs, he's not to be underestimated" expressed Hiro heading towards the shower.
"Oh! I'm forgetting, administer this to him every two hours to keep him unconscious, I'm going to interrogate him tomorrow morning"
After this one-sided exchange with Canary, Hiro took a shower and when he came out, he found Kilua sitting on his bed waiting for him.
"Say Hiro, who's the old man Canary is monitoring?" Kilua posed this question innocently but his gaze clearly demanded explanations.
"Don't worry bro, he's just a hostage" said Hiro casually while getting dressed, unbothered by Kilua's presence.
"Your hostage, I see" said Kilua nodding his head in understanding, as if it were natural.
"WAIT, YOUR HOSTAGE??" yelled Kilua in shock after grasping it.
Author's Note: I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Next chapter, I'm going to end the Heaven's Arena arc and this Illumi mission so expect lots of information.
