"What's all the fuss?" Kallista asked from the hallway. 

"Do come in and see," Clyde laughed. 

Kallista entered the room and then stopped short. "Is that a mushagon?" She asked in surprise.

"It is. Evelyn has hatched it!" He replied. 

Kallista could not stop herself and she burst out into laughter. "First you tell me that this little witch is the protector of the fae and can craft potions and now she has a mushagon for a familiar?"

"I know," Clyde said. "It is all rather hard to believe if I had not seen it all for myself."

"I just don't even know how you got your hands on an egg."

"I am not sure either. The whole thing is rather bizarre."

"How so?" Kallista asked.

"Simple, I met a man on the market and he handed me this egg and told me it belonged to her and to make sure she got it."
