Rachel's POV

'You tell me, my love, is...…'

The lyrics of the song 'Love don't cost a dime' by Magixx pierces my hazy state and the darkness covering my eyes that bright Saturday morning.

Groaning in protest at the fact my slumber was being disrupted, I blindly stretched out my palm, waving it around in the air as I tapped the bed and whatever was close in a bid to snatch up the noisy device.

"Shit!" I yelped as the back of my palm hit a sharp edge of a hard object and jumped to a sitting position. My eyes instantly flashed open as I searched for the culprit, only to see the table beside my bed.

"Fuck, fuck fuck," I hissed, glaring at the object and cradled my hurt palm, blowing air on it in a bid to subside the pain.

All traces of sleep disappeared, causing a small throb in my head as a result of my abrupt actions and the fact I had a lot of wine at the event the previous night.
