"What the hell is going on here, David?" Cole asks in serious tone, more than ever. Clear indication of how much I've fucked this up. 

He walks fast past me, while I'm still standing at what seems to be the center of the room, and heads for Maria. 

I know I've had situations before. If things go square, I'm usually not like this. I'm always in the mood of being like, 'to hell, why would I even care.' 

I don't know why she makes me different 

She's different. I don't even understand why I'm in a so caring mood for this one. Despite everything that has led to all of this. 

"I messed up man. Big time. And I don't know which step to take next, that's why I called you." I reply desperately. Fuck all of this. 

"What happened? How did you end up.. What's wrong with her?" he goes on with his train of questions. 

"I just wanted answers and I thought that was the right way…" 

He raises his brows, twisting his head, "And?"
