The unknown planet was a stark contrast to the desolate expanse of Planet Kurayami. Here, an icy landscape stretched as far as the eye could see, and the chill in the air was bone-piercing. Seraphine, Kai, and Selene stood atop a mountain, bundled up in their Galactic Patrol winter coats, each adorned with the distinctive logo.
Selene broke the silence, her voice carrying authority. "You don't know the basics of flying, so it seems you'll have to learn the hard way." With a swift shove, she sent Kai and Seraphine tumbling off the mountain's edge.
Their screams echoed through the frigid air as they plummeted towards the ground. Panic set in, but Kai's determination broke through the fear. He yelled at Seraphine, urging her to focus their ki to fly. Both closed their eyes, blocking out the rush of the wind as they concentrated on the energy flowing within them.
Suddenly, the freefall ceased, and they hung suspended in mid-air. Seraphine's eyes sparkled with delight, and she cried out, "We can fly! We can fly!" The realization that they could control their ki to defy gravity filled them with exhilaration as they soared back up to the mountaintop.
Selene awaited them with a knowing smile. "I knew you'd figure it out."
Their anger still smoldering, they thanked their instructor for the unorthodox lesson. Seraphine couldn't help but wonder what other trials lay ahead.
"What's next, Master Selene?" she asked.
"This planet has an area famous for ki training," Selene replied, leading them to the awaiting spaceship. "We'll head there now."
As they boarded the spaceship, anticipation filled the air. Their journey toward mastering ki and unlocking their full potential had only just begun.
