Charlie didn't sleep but continued to relax with Angelica who had her arms around his chest, wearing a gray blanket, occasionally glancing at Emma who was still asleep on the bed about 7 meters away from them.

"Are you sure I'll be safe in San Diego?" Angelica asked.

"Of course it's safe... What are you afraid of?"

"Isabella's father..." Angelica looked up at Charlie. "You said he wanted to hurt whoever you love."

Charlie smiled faintly because he knew that Louis wouldn't hurt Angelica, but maybe Miranda.

"You just need to stay at the mansion, or always go out with me. Everything will be fine," he said.

Angelica sighed, resting her head on Charlie's chest.

"Just want to be together, why should it be hindered? Isn't that our right?"

"I don't know... Sometimes people like to find trouble with other people, carrying grudges without realizing it will only make things worse."
