"Here," Theo said in a soothing tone as he handed me a large, warm blanket after my transformation back to human form. We stepped into his house, now devoid of other occupants, leaving only the two of us. His father and the Beta had gone to another pack, so I heard, so that their children could be given the chance to rule. 

A short while later, Theo retreated into his study, leaving me alone in the living area.

Then, a sudden, unexpected knock broke through the silence and I turned my head. I was taken aback when I opened the door and found Aleena standing there, her expression bearing a smug grin.

"Hello, Luna," she greeted me mockingly, deliberately emphasizing the title, while her eyes appraised the blanket that modestly covered me.
