"Stay down," Sabrina harshly whispered to me as we hid behind the scattered trees in the forest, just a short distance from Nightfang's gates.

Sabrina was using her abilities to cloak our scents, ensuring the guards wouldn't detect us and in turn alert the pack. None of our group had transformed into our wolf forms yet; we planned to do so after infiltrating the pack to conserve our energy. I couldn't help but feel like a liability, unsure of my place in this mission.

Zane caught my gaze from his hiding spot and nodded at me, a reassuring gesture that calmed my nerves. I might not have fully realized my potential, but I wasn't weak. I was determined not to be a burden, even though I felt somewhat useless.
