These Demonic beasts were not Long Chen's lackey like the first Demonic beast. By now, they had worked out the fact that their plan was not working. They fled when they saw the golden lion fall from the sky. His head had been punched to mush, there was no saving him. 

All these Demonic beasts had great ambition. Dying in some secret realm for a fight that gave them no clear benefits would very much negatively affect their ambitions.
