Baron Lawrence watched her enter the elevator, and only after the doors had closed did he coolly stuff his hands into his pockets and walk back.
He returned home.
As soon as he entered, he heard someone humming a song cheerfully. Seeing him, they greeted him with a smile as if blessed by the spring breeze, "You're back?"
After Enna Clark greeted him, she noticed he was alone, and asked in surprise, "Where's your sister?"
Dammit, was she still looking forward to seeing Skye Lawrence?!
Was her brain filled with water?
Baron Lawrence's expression stiffened, "She left."
"She didn't stay for a meal? I even cooked her favorite dish." Enna Clark was a bit disappointed; she had wanted to observe more of how Skye and Baron interacted.
After all, she had been oppressed for so long, and it was a rare sight for her to see someone who could oppress him; it scratched an itch in her heart.
"Do you really want to have a meal with her?" Baron Lawrence asked, his tone displeased.
