Philip Shaw walked over to stand beside Trenton Smith, and asked softly, "Should we take her to the hospital?"

Trenton looked down at Norris Moore's pale face. She was still crying, panic-stricken, her eyes unfocused. He wrapped his arms around her, feeling a searing pain deep in his heart as if it was pricked by a needle.

If he had been a second late, she would have died.

He had no idea how he would feel if he saw Norris's disfigured body.

He didn't dare to think about it.

Shutting his eyes briefly, he handed Norris over to Philip and walked towards Rufus Swallow.

"Trenton?"

Philip held Norris, feeling her body limp and powerless. He didn't dare hold her too tightly, feeling helpless. He then watched as Trenton aimed his gun at Rufus's chest.

He was taken aback, unsure of Rufus's true identity but aware they must be related since they shared the same lastname.

"You shouldn't have come here," Trenton's eyes were dark, "because I'm going to kill you."
