After speaking, she sat up and patted the spot next to her. "Just sit here by me, and it'll be fine."

Alexander looked at her pale face and said, "Do you want to go to the hospital?"

"No need."

She moved backward and leaned on the sofa, tilting her head in his direction.

From a distance, it looked like she was leaning on him.

The scent slowly enveloped her, making her feel comfortable, her eyelids slightly narrowed.

Alexander knew what her symptoms were like, so he didn't force her to go to the hospital.

"Do you want water?" he asked.

Chloe Collins closed her eyes and replied slowly, "There's no water left. You said you had something to eat, right? Where is it?"

He said, "I've already had someone prepare it, and it'll be here shortly."

As soon as he finished speaking, the doorbell rang.

"It's probably here. I'll go open the door." he said.

Alexander took off his coat and put it beside her, then quickly went to the doorway.
