"What did you promise Charles Carrington, anyway?" Layla Lowell changed the topic as she took a bite from her food. "He has agreed not to hold me accountable for damaging his car and even offered me installments to pay it back."

Folks say a car is like a man's wife, and she had wrecked his car beyond recognition. She was genuinely curious as to how Chloe Collins had convinced him.

Chloe's response was the same as the one she gave the night before: "You will find out after the exam."

Just as Layla was about to speak, she saw Chloe gaze intently over her shoulder.

Following Chloe's gaze, she turned to see Wanda Wesley standing by the window, wiping her sweat with a tissue.

Nearby, a group of male students was mocking her plump figure.

"Gosh, these people..." Layla gritted her teeth.

Wanda Wesley acted as if she hadn't heard. She ignored them from beginning to end, threw her trash away after wiping off her sweat, and walked out holding a newly bought cold drink.
