Amelia Cobb listened to the others chattering around her. Cold sweat trickled down her face. While she had faced many intellectual challenges, it was her first time seeking help for a class.
If she had known that her advisor would call her in the middle of the night, she would have found a piano teacher to help her practice beforehand, rather than standing here like a fool.
"Amelia, our star debater, you're here! I hope you haven't forgotten about your piano teacher," the teacher said, sitting by the piano, looking at Amelia with an imposing presence and a hint of murderous intent.
"So are we starting class, or is this a family gathering? Or did you bring your boyfriend?"
Amelia was shocked and quickly replied, "I don't know him; he insisted on following me; I don't know what to do."
"Do you want me to call the police for you?" the piano teacher sarcastically offered.
Amelia awkwardly touched her nose, "No need for that."
"Then shall we begin the test?"
