"I won't study economics," Amelia Cobb stated with a bland expression.

Even though everyone already knew about her engagement to Christopher Robinson, she was still not hiding her dislike for him.

"I forgot, I'm sorry," Abner Rodriguez said with an apologetic tone. But Amelia didn't want to understand his apology.

She stopped and looked at Abner, "We've been the subject of rumors, haven't we?"

Abner was stunned, "Yes."

"Then you better stay away from me! I don't want to be hurt by rumors anymore." Amelia didn't care for any advice about not minding other people's opinions. Even if she could truly not care, the troubles brought by those rumors were unavoidable.

After saying that, Amelia turned to leave, but Abner grabbed her arm to stop her.

"I said those things before because I wanted to protect you," the boy said urgently, his face filled with a hint of tension, as if he were afraid of affecting their relationship.
