Suzanne Trent, pressed for time, snapped a couple of photos of herself and her car with her phone, preserving the on-site evidence.
At the same time, she was about to call for a taxi but noticed one passing by. It had passengers in it, but there was still room for her. Figuring that the taxi was headed in the direction of the Film and Television City, she flagged it down, intending to carpool.
Before getting in, she declared, "I'll leave my car here for now, call a tow truck to take it away. I have to go, I have more things to attend to. We'll be in touch later."
Both cars had phone numbers on their temporary parking signs, which she had photographed. She would settle accounts with him after she had finished her pressing matters.
Suzanne Trent promptly got into the taxi and left, not wanting to waste time exchanging words with him any further.
Louis King stood in disbelief, first watching the direction in which the taxi had disappeared, and then gazing at her white Audi.
