My heart raced as panic surged through me, instinctively clinging to the wall as my survival instincts kicked in, eyes squeezed shut. I had no intention of moving up or down; I was rooted in that spot. Soon, the others passed me, with Jason and Rex leading the pack, their joyous screams and laughter echoing around me, I remained rooted, my focus solely on maintaining my precarious hold.

"Lord, please, if you save me from this ordeal, I swear never to go rock climbing again in my life," I prayed desperately in my mind.

My brow was sweating, palms slick with sweat, and I struggled to maintain my grip. My muscles began to ache and go numb.

Just when I thought all hope was lost and I was about to fall, I heard someone ask, "Is everything alright?"

Thank goodness Rex was here. He would always show up when I needed him.

"No, everything is not alright, Rex. I'm scared to death. I need to get down from here, but I can't move," I explained in a shaky voice.
