"Don't worry, I'll save everyone after I'm done with the scouting," I patted her head to calm her emotions down.
She paused for a moment, and look me in the eye.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. I'm not usually like this," she apologized, releasing her grip on my clothes.
"It's alright, what you're going through is normal," I responded with a warm smile, hoping to lighten the mood.
"Do you think I'm useless ?" she asked, her voice filled with doubt .
This moment of weakness was affecting her more than I had realized.
"You're always the one everyone relies on, aren't you? The strongest, the most talented. That's why you always keep up your tough face, isn't it? You can't afford to let anyone see your vulnerable side," I remarked, sharing my observation.
"I don't know what you're talking about," she denied my words, but her bashful expression gave her away.
