"Where are you, wifey?"

Chris sounded elated from the other end of the call.

"Why do you want to know?" She snapped irritatedly.

"You sound meh, didn't the deal go your way?" he inquired apprehensively.

"Hmm…" she hummed, but still asked, "What about you?"

"Suzy, I'm coming to pick you up." He asserted smoothly.

Not getting the answer for her earlier question she held a downcasted look but hearing his forceful tone, she meekly grumbled.

Although she wanted to snap, she needed some alone time. But after recalling about his good mood, she promptly dropped the idea and said, "I'm not at the company. Let me get there first."

"Where the hell are you now?" he pressed domineeringly.

"At La Prime, Hudson Road," she complied meekly.
