"No... no... no..." Jules heard her friend. 

She guessed just like her, Thalia would usually never accept such a lavish gift. She also understood that under normal circumstances, it was just too much.

But in her defense, this was an exception. 

"Buy me a bag, a pair of shoes, or even a pair of earrings. That is a gift. But you don't give a fully furnished apartment." Thalia shouted, still in disbelief. "That is just insane."

Her friend rattled on, stating that she had lost her mind. She should not be wasting her money on her. She had a son to think of. She could not take the house.

But she already expected her surprised reaction. She would probably respond the same way if that had been her in her friend's shoes.

"Ssshhh!" Jules moved to her friend's side as she tried to calm her down. "I already did. You can't give it back." She unwaveringly asserted.
