"Seriously?" His mother's voice echoed in every corner of his living room as she stared at him with daggers coming out of her eyes.

Damon could see disbelief and anger mixed in her expression as she faced him. Under normal circumstances, he usually tolerated his mother's behavior.

"I am dead serious, Mom. Whatever you came here would have to wait some other day." He was tired. And he already had a headache. 

He did not wish to deal with his mother's overzealous theatrics. Besides, his guts told him that if Jules wanted her out of his house, she must have a reasonable explanation for it.

Lately, he had seen that his wife had never acted impulsively without thinking things through. She had been level-headed despite what he initially thought about her.

"You are taking the side of this woman over mine. Have you gone insane? I am your mother." His elegant and stunning mother had gone slightly hysterical, forgetting about her grace and decorum.
