章節 7: CHAPTER SIX
DRAVEN'S POV
People thank God it's Friday, because it holds the promise of a splendid weekend, even though there isn't much in store for you, there's surely beauty sleep, and relief. And for the Top De là cruise Lagosians, there's the drama and paparazzi and a different level of craziness.
Usually, I would leap and do a few moon walks topped with a nasty break dance because it's Friday and I get to spend the weekend neck deep into my private investigation.
Friday came, then Saturday and Sunday, and the realization that 'Grab a Bite' will be locked on Sunday hit me like a tsunami. The snacks and drinks are delicious, not gonna lie, but that's not the sole reason as to why a grown-ass man is on the road, driving downtown to see the grumpy brownie.
Today, I don't get to sneak a peak at the 'dessert in flesh and blood', or use being a junk freak as a guise or be Neth for a moment just to see her frown at me. Such pretty chubby cheeks messing with my head, if only I could sketch that and frame it, it will be hanging on my wall right by the entrance.
It's Sunday, a long tortuous day to spend without making her uncomfortable and grumpy... How would it be if she smiles at me?
Maybe I should pull a different string.
