章節 36: Hotel Surprise
Their first stop was Venice. Austin had booked two room in the Ca'Bonfadini , one of Venice's finest hotels. She was going to love it. A cab took them from the airport straight to the hotel.
"Welcome Alora," Austin presented. "To the Ca' Bonfadini, one of Venice's best hotels. Let's go in."
Austin held her hand, a gesture she didn't resist and they both entered the hotel. He wasn't suprised at how the setting of the hotel stunned her.
The interiors were an ode to the city's neoclassical period, full of artworks, frescoes, and an occasional piece of modern furniture alongside an ornately carved desk or a gilt-fringed mirror.
It was beautiful, it was art. He collected their room keys and was told that the bags have already been taken there.
"Austin, are we sharing a room?" Lora asked.
"No, you will have yours and so will I."
He took her up to the room that he had picked. She was going to love it.
Alora's suite had hints of feminism in every corner; the curtains were draped in lilac pink and white. The bed had two huge fluffy pink pillows and the bed was covered in white bedsheets.On both sides, were small drawers which was home to lampshades that dazzled and sent light bouncing of the historic walls
The wooden frame of the bed was lined with gold and black. The walls and ceilings were frescoed and the whole room emitted a strong scent of 16th century history and roses.
The suite was painted in space purple and white and had more room that led to the bathroom. Small white, gold and pink couches were placed around the extra space.
What allured her was the vanity table. It was cream colored and had several expensive hair and skin care products.
She hugged him again and shifted all her weight on him, sending them toppling onto the bed.
"Sorry." She said, rolling off his, her face as red as a pomegranate. "I just got a bit excited."
"I knew you would like it." He touched her hair. "Take a shower and we would be going out for dinner. Then, I would like to touch up your hair."
He left the room, leaving her startled. What did he mean by that? She dismissed tte thought and took off her coat and hung it in one of the many pine drawers.
Her suitcase was in the room and she entered the bathroom to turn on the tap. The bathroom was squeaky clean and the walls were marble grey and had several mirrors. Best if all, the tub was huge. It was so pretty. She turned on the tap and quickly took a bath.
