They went inside the building, and the security didn't even check them, unlike the other people in line. The loud club music entered Caroline's ears, blocking her from hearing anything else. She saw many women and men. The women were wearing skimpy clothes and dancing with the men. They opened up the path for them since Felix was walking in front.
'Wow, I never thought he'd be so influential. He did say he was very wealthy during our conversation,' she thought.
They soon reached the end of the room where they saw stairs. She looked back and saw Casey and Vanessa right behind her. She simply wanted to make sure that they hadn't gone off like normal. Walking upstairs, the music turned down a bit as they got farther from the main floor.
"Where are we going?" Caroline asked.
"Upstairs, there's a private lounge here. Only the wealthy get to sit here, and luckily, I'm one of those people," he said.
They got to the second floor and entered the first room they saw. A bouncer stood there, and when he saw Felix, he got out of their way.
"Have a seat, ladies. I'll go and get something for a second," he said, then walked out of the room.
In that very second, Vanessa and Casey sat close to Caroline while they smiled at her widely.
"I never thought I'd ever see pure old Caroline with a guy. Is he the one who'll take your V-card?" Casey asked.
'What! I barely even know this guy,' she thought.
"No, I'm not going to fuck some random dude I just met an hour ago," she responded to her question.
"Come on, Carol, you've been saying that for as long as I can remember. Can't you just let loose even for a second?" Vanessa said.
"We've been through this multiple times, okay? No. The only person who'll take my virginity is the man I love."
"Okay, so if you fall for Felix, you'll let him break you?" Casey asked.
"Maybe. It depends. If I want to, I'll do it. And I'm sure you know the latter," Caroline said as she sat back and took her phone out.
"That's alright. Guess we'll have to work on making you like the guy is all. I'm sure it's going to be an easy task," Casey said.
"Why do you do that?" Caroline asked.
"Well, Felix is a perfect guy from my experience, so I'm sure he'd be perfect for you as well. If he isn't, then I guess we'll look for another guy who has the same properties, but maybe better."
'These girls, they're so persistent,' she thought.
Felix came back and sat next to Caroline as the two girls got moved away to the next seat. Two guys entered the room and instantly eyed Vanessa and Casey, who smiled at them and rolled their fingers signaling that they should come over.
"So, Caroline, tell me about your family. I'm very curious about how such a beautiful girl grew up," he said.
"Oh well, I live with my mom and dad. Also, I have a twin brother," she said.
"Whoa, you have a twin brother? I didn't expect that, honestly. Well, I guess life is full of surprises. Now tell me more about them. I'm all ears."
The two talked together while Vanessa and Casey flirted back and forth with the two guys. Caroline slowly began to warm up to Felix, so much so that she gave him a glimpse of what her genuine smile looked like, which made his heart skip a beat.
'I need to have her for myself now!' he thought as he stared deeply into her eyes. Caroline averted her eyes as she saw him staring at her a little too hard.
"Oh, sorry if I got you spooked. It's just that you, you look really beautiful," he said as he leaned in, ready to give her a kiss. Caroline's eyes widened in shock. She hurriedly pushed him away and got up.
"Um, I gotta go," she said and ran out of the room.
'I moved in too quickly,' he thought. He looked at the two men that had come and gave them the death stare. They hurriedly got up and left the room before Felix got any angrier.
"Let's go!" he said to the two girls, who were a bit disappointed since they didn't get to fuck the guys.
---------------
Caroline ran and ran until she got far away from the club. She ran until she felt her legs grow weak, which made her stop. She breathed heavily as her heart beat fast, trying to catch her breath and looking around her. She was deep in the city. She honestly didn't know where she was.
She started to panic.
'Maybe I overreacted. Should I have just told him to stop? Fuck, I regret my choices!' she thought.
Car lights approached her and stopped beside her. She saw the window roll down and Vanessa's face popped out.
"Caroline, come on in. Felix said he'd drive you home," she said. Caroline nodded and entered the car, only to see the two girls naked. Casey was riding Felix as he sat up on the chair, while Vanessa smoked a blunt.
*Whew.*
She exhaled the smoke and looked at Caroline, who tried her best to act like everything was normal.
"Don't worry, we'll take you straight home. Just sit tight," she said as she brushed Caroline's hair. She nodded and sat back, looking out the window and getting her mind off the situation she was in.
They arrived at her house. The car stopped right in front of her gate.
"Thanks for the ride. I'll see you two later," she said as she opened the door. Felix came over and stopped her while he was butt-naked.
"Give me your number first. I really enjoyed our talk today," he said.
She glanced at the two girls who were laid on the chairs naked, covered in sweat while talking happily. None of them looked even the slightest bit uncomfortable, the opposite of what she felt during the 10-minute ride. But then she thought back to the fun they had speaking with each other before. So she gave him her number, then stepped out of the car. It drove off the next moment and disappeared as it went down the road.
She turned towards her home and smiled. Running inside, she looked around and found the house in total darkness.
"Oh yeah, even though I live with people, I'm still lonely," she said to herself.
Travis and Caroline were currently sitting on the swings of the local park. It had many kids playing around with their friends. In fact, they used to spend a lot of time here back then.
"So yeah, that's how I met Felix," she said.
Travis had listened to everything. He didn't even show the slightest hint of disinterest while she spoke. He kept calm eye contact and asked questions when needed. This made Caroline feel heard. Sure, now that she and her mom fixed things up, she's heard. But something about it being the very person she once betrayed made her feel guilt and also happiness. That even though she had hurt this person, he was still willing to hear her out. It was extremely relieving.
