"Are we in Manila already?" Jose quickly asked, longing for some rest in the city. The exhaustion from the long journey had completely sapped Jose's strength.
"Not yet, sir," Marlon responded.
During that time, Jose suddenly sensed a change. The carriage seemed to be moving faster than before, gliding smoothly without impediments. The usual jolts and bumps were gone, replaced by a remarkably comfortable ride.
"Marlon, what's happening?" Jose couldn't help but wonder if his driver had somehow acquired newfound driving skills overnight.
"Sir, please, look outside," Marlon suggested, turning around.
Jose eagerly obliged.
"What kind of road is this?" he exclaimed.
The road surface before him was distinctly different, appearing as a smooth, gray slab without seams, stretching endlessly.
It was an expansive road divided into four lanes, meticulously delineating traffic routes. Gazing upon it, Jose marveled at its beauty.
