章節 25: Entrance Test
More than a month had passed since Amden's birthday banquet and surprisingly things had remained calm in this time period.
Amden and Cilia along with their convoy of cars were traveling to the venue of the academy. His parent had departed early and would arrive their after completing some of their work.
The venue of the entrance test, The Star Sky Academy, was a few hours journey by road from the Aziailia town.
Lucas and Luna had already arrived at the academy and had registered themselves for the entrance.
After few hours of journey Amden finally arrived at their destination. Humongous crowd was moving towards the academy but being the heir of an elite family had its perk. Very soon je was guided towards the VIP Section and his car was parked.
As soon as he got off the car he was greeted by the sight of the majestic Star Sky Academy. Infront of him stood large and humongous mountain ranges. Situated between those mountain range was the Star Sky Academy.
The mountain served as an excellent natural defense with very limited and well defendable passes which were the only option to go inside the academy. Those passes and the boundaries were well guarded and Amden could tell the whole of the academy was surrounded and protected by a runic barrier. Among these mountain range huge and tall buildings were piercing the sky, which were the different facilities of the academy.
Very limited entry was allowed inside the academy. Only the students, instructors and staff of the academy had the general permission to go inside the academy. While other outsiders could also be allowed by the academy but that was only when a special case occurred.
The venue of the entrance was just outside the academy. A large temporary stadium had been constructed for the competition to take place and spectators to watch the entire test.
Amden along with Cilia arrived at one the VIP box reserved for his family. The VIP box was equipped with very comfortable sofas as their seating arrangement and a large screen attached to one of the walls was present which would be displaying the competition.
In the centre of the Stadium stood thousand and thousand of students to participate in the upcoming entrance.
Every participating candidate in the arena stood nervous and excited at the same time. Few among the those also spotted a confident or arrogant expression. These were generally the members of elite families and had gone through a proper training for months.
The nervousness and the excitement among the commoners was on whole different level. This was a stage a chance that could change their life permanently.
If they performed exceptionally well they could catch the eyes of exceptional individuals, large corporations or powerful families. It was a common custom that these different kind of powers approached these talented individuals and would attach them to their power structure. They would also generally even bear their cost of education and groom them according to their needs. Though these kind of deals were generally profitable and skewed in the favour of these large power centres, it was an attractive and shining option to for these commoners.
After some time of wait, it was finally the time for the entrance to start. In the meantime Rexon and Lily have also arrived.
They very much adored Lucas and Luna and specially Luna who was as their cute little daughter. Hence they did not wished to miss the performance of the twin and wanted to witness it live.
A large bell sounded which echoed all around the stadium and a middle aged man floated in the centre of the stadium.
With the sound of the bell the noisy stadium quietened.
The man in air started to speak, "My name is Vale Dilian. I am an instructor in the Academy."
He continued, "Now let me tell you the rules of the test. The test would be divided into two parts. In the first part you would be teleported into forest to kill beast. The time limit is 3 hours. The area for the test had been cleared already and the highest rank of the beast there is E Rank. The top 500 students would be admitted into the academy. The second part would include arena battles about which we will talk later."
He continued, "Don't worry about your safety. The token which you have been provided during the registration has a small teleportation formation engraved on it. The moment you feel you cannot escape or have no other way you can crush the token and you will teleported out. Also other few instructors are in the forest to protect you from unseen danger. Despite all this lives are lost in the forests so be careful. And even if you defeat or kill other participants you won't get any of their points. So mind your own business and don't engage with other participants."
With this Vale waved his hand and numerous portals appeared in the arena. This was a rune teleportation formation. The participants moved inside the portal and they were teleported randomly inside the forest.
Multiple large holographic screens appeared in air above the arena to display the battles and the ranking. And with this beagan the chaos for the entrance to the Academy.
