Bella lightly raised her eyebrows and gracefully approached Andrew. "You're right, so building materials you stored earlier will be consumed by Harper Group at the price I negotiated with Michael. How does that sound?"
Upon hearing this, Andrew sat up and looked at Bella with a mischievous grin. "I asked your father today, and he didn't say whether to use them or not. That's just how it should be. Considering his daughter is Mrs. Steele, they should definitely use them, don't you think?"
"Mrs. Steele? You don't treat me as if I were your wife," Bella said, looking hurt and dejected.
Andrew sat there, his eyes rolling for a moment. "Hahaha, you have a point. Don't worry. As long as you can benefit Steele Group, I will naturally treat you better."
Finishing his words, he reached out and lifted her chin, bringing her freshly made-up face into view.
The frustration in his expression gradually dissipated as the opportunity to recover the losses through the building materials presented itself. His gaze grew intense as he stared into Bella's eyes. "You came back to find me, didn't you?"
"I came back to help you solve the problem," Bella replied, her hands hooked around his neck.
"Well said. It seems like I should take good care of you."
Pressing her down, he roughly tore off her clothes and eagerly began kissing her body.
Bella tightly gripped the bedsheet, her eyes filled with resentment and endurance.
Whatever means necessary to achieve their goals, even if her body had been violated by him before, what did it matter now?
"Andrew."
Michael entered the living room and asked the housemaid.
The maid nodded. "He's upstairs... and... Mrs. Steele is there too."
"Okay."
Michael began to walk towards the upstairs, step by step, until he arrived outside the bedroom door. He was shocked by what he saw inside and quickly retreated downstairs.
"I'll come back later."
After Michael left, the maid glanced at the upstairs and resumed her work, intermittently hearing sounds from above... She hurriedly continued with her tasks.
"Could it be that Andrew has really fallen for her? He doesn't even care to close the door in broad daylight. " Michael murmured to himself, shaking his head while remembering the scene he had witnessed.
...
"Work is over. Let's go home."
"Okay, I'll drive myself back. You don't need to wait for me."
Ethan was taken aback upon hearing this. Even if she was driving herself, they should still go back together.
"No. I'll wait for you to go together." his tone was cold and filled with the dominance he displayed at work. Amelia stood up, tidied up a bit, and walked out of the company with him.
The phone rang, displaying Hodgkin's call.
"Hello, Mr. Frost. Harper Group has used that batch of building materials for Steele Group. Also, are you meeting Mr. Collins today? He has landed and is on his way here."
Ethan furrowed his brows slightly and then relaxed them. A fleeting expression, somewhere between a smile and a smirk, crossed his lips.
"Alright, I'll come over now. See you in twenty minutes."
Ending the call, he glanced at Amelia by his side.
"You go back first. I have something to take care of. I'll come home later, no need to wait for me."
"..." But he just said they would go back together. What's wrong with him?
She gave him a quick glance and walked towards the car. Driving alone on the road, she couldn't help but complain in her mind about the inexplicable phone call and his strange behavior.
Is he going to see Rosetta again? She called saying Ethan wouldn't be coming home until night.
Feeling uneasy, she drove to their new residence and parked downstairs. But as she considered getting out of the car, something felt off. She turned the car around and headed towards the villa they used to live in.
"Mr. Frost, you're here."
"Has Mr. Collins arrived?"
Following one after the other, Hodgkin and Ethan arrived at Chinchol Manor.
"Not yet, but he should be here soon."
Once inside the room, Ethan sat down, had a cup of coffee, and looked at Hodgkin with an unusually serious and proud gaze.
"Harper Group and Steele Group are now family, helping each other is not surprising."
"What about the building materials?"
"Don't worry about it. Let them handle it. When two tigers fight, one will get hurt. We haven't reached the time to take action yet. Wait until Charles reveals his true colors, then we strike and reap the benefits."
Ethan's tone was calm but filled with unwavering determination. He lightly tapped the exquisite redwood desk, as if everything was under control.
"Is Mr. Collins coming to persuade us to cooperate?" Hodgkin stood by, seeking instructions.
Ethan picked up his cup, took a sip, placed it back on the table, and wagged his finger.
"No, we'll continue to cooperate with Harper Group."
"What do you mean...?" Hodgkin's face revealed a hint of confusion as he asked and speculated on the side.
Ethan glanced at his watch, realizing it was almost time. "Go check if he has arrived and take him to the hall to wait for me."
"This place is so peaceful, devoid of the hustle and bustle of the city. I should have chosen this earlier," Amelia thought while sitting in the villa's living room, looking at the spacious room. The quiet woods outside, with the villa nestled among the green trees, gave off an otherworldly and serene atmosphere.
"I don't know when he'll be back. Well, ordering takeout will do." She picked up her phone but then felt that eating alone would be too lonely. Going out to eat seemed like a good idea. Driving would make it convenient.
Amelia returned upstairs, changed into her clothes, lightly smiled at herself in the mirror. She looked pretty good. Picking up her bag, she walked downstairs.
Driving towards the city, Amelia headed to the bustling street. It would be a good place to eat.
In her memory, she used to love eating the steak from Savoria Bistro the most. This was a perfect opportunity to go and have some.
After parking the car, she arrived at Savoria Bistro and picked a few items from the menu that she liked.
Looking at the place, there were still some memories attached to it. Those false scenes of warmth and memories, but everything had changed over time.
"Miss, enjoy your meal."
"Thank you."
"Miss, have you been here before? You look familiar."
Amelia paused, recalling that she had come a few times before with Charles, Delilah, and Bella, as well as with Michael. But those were Amelia's memories, and now she was Sophia.
"No, I heard from a friend that the food here is delicious, so I came to try it."
The owner nodded. "Ah, I see. You look familiar. Please enjoy your meal."
The taste was still familiar. She took a bite and it was delicious, even better than before.
She thought of taking some back for Ethan to try. While not extravagant, it had its own unique characteristics.
"You are enjoying this meal. You used to love eating this. The flavor hasn't changed," a man commented.
Upon hearing these words, her heart skipped a beat. She looked up and saw Michael standing in front of her with a faint smile on his face. What a mood killer, not even able to enjoy a meal properly.
"Who are you?"
"Michael," he replied and promptly sat down opposite her.
