Amelia smiled gently, thinking it was just perfect. The office was empty, allowing her to disregard everything.
"I'm willing."
Ethan looked at Amelia, finding her adorable and willful, like a child he doted on, able to do as she pleased at Grand Group.
Even though she could do as she pleased, Amelia had her limits and only directed her attitude towards specific people.
Ethan walked over to her, handing her a cup of milk tea.
"Have some."
"Milk tea? Did you prepare it knowing I would come?"
Amelia held the milk tea in her hands and took a sip, enjoying the heavenly aroma.
Ethan nodded lightly, smiling as he sat across from her.
"I just thought you wouldn't let her go so easily and wouldn't let her disregard everyone."
"It seems like you have excellent foresight. She might call you any moment now," Amelia said, glancing at Ethan with an indifferent and casual demeanor, intentionally speaking in a nonchalant manner.
"How do you think I should handle it?"
Ethan, with his perfect face, had a faint smile that revealed an underlying affection.
Amelia stared at him for a while before shaking her head lightly, lowering her head to drink her milk tea.
"If you dare to help her, I won't let it slide between us."
Ethan looked at her contemplating gaze, gently shaking his head. His phone rang, and Bella's name appeared on the screen.
"What a coincidence, she's calling just as we speak."
Amelia glanced at him. "We're in a meeting, so it may take an hour for her to wait."
At first, Ethan furrowed his brows, but his deep eyes continued to observe Amelia, lightly nodding.
"Hello, Miss Harper."
"Hello, Mr. Frost. There's something urgent I need to attend to at the company. Please tell Ms. Sophia that once the contract is signed, it should be sent to Harper Group. It's not responsible to disregard the losses of both companies just for a momentary satisfaction. What do you think, Mr. Frost?"
Ethan nodded gently, glancing at Amelia.
This is clearly reporting her. She's saying that Amelia is irresponsible and disregards the losses.
Ethan handed the phone back to Amelia, saying softly, "Handle it however you see fit."
Amelia hesitated for a moment, then returned the phone to Ethan, sighed, and looked at him.
"Tell her I'll be back in ten minutes."
"Hello, Mr. Frost. Are you still there?"
Ethan responded through the phone, "I'm here. Ms. Sophia will be back shortly. Let the assistant bring you a cup of coffee. Please be patient, Miss Harper."
After saying that, he hung up the phone.
"Mr. Frost, I really..."
Mid-sentence, while looking at the hung-up phone, Bella sat down again in anger.
Meeting? No, I need to go and see for myself.
Bella picked up her bag and walked towards Ethan's office.
"Do you think I should go back?"
"You can wait a little longer. Who knows, Bella might come straight to this office."
Amelia hesitated for a moment, finding it hard to tolerate Bella's appearance and the way she came to find Ethan.
"Alright, I'll go back. I'll resolve it face to face with her."
Ethan lightly nodded, only to hear the sound of footsteps coming closer.
"She arrived so quickly."
Amelia heard it and quickly got up, walking out of the office. Their eyes met when Bella looked at Amelia with disdain.
"Ms. Sophia, what a coincidence. I was just about to reach the office, and here you are. Why weren't you waiting for me inside? Are you afraid I'll complain about your abuse of power and lack of consideration for both parties?"
After speaking, Bella lifted her chin and glanced at Amelia.
Causing trouble for me is one thing, but appearing in the CEO's office means she really wants to find Ethan.
You brat! I bet you're tired of living. You not only block my career, but also block my love.
I'll send you to find Amelia as soon as possible. You look so much alike, I wouldn't be surprised if you were Amelia's sister.
You're done for, and you can keep each other company.
Amelia looked at Bella and felt that her expression was terrifying, like a demon ready to devour someone, staring at her intensely.
"Let's discuss in the office."
They were right in front of Ethan's office. Bella had always been determined to become the wife of the CEO, so now that she was here, how could she miss any opportunity to interact with him?
"You go back first. I have something to discuss with Mr. Frost."
Bella glanced at Amelia, swayed her waist, and walked into the office with graceful steps.
Amelia was taken aback for a moment, and she followed along.
"Mr. Frost, long time no see."
Bella said, running her fingers through her long hair as she sat down across from Ethan. She then turned her attention to Amelia with impatience in her eyes.
"Why are you here too? If you have something to say, go ahead. If not, please leave. Mr. Frost and I have matters to discuss."
When mentioning Mr. Frost, Bella shyly looked at Ethan, even taking a quick glance at Amelia.
Amelia also sat closer to Ethan, directly facing Bella, and spoke calmly.
"Mr. Frost and I haven't finished our meeting yet. Miss Harper, if you have something to say, please do so quickly. Once you're done, we can handle the contracts."
Bella looked at Amelia in surprise and shook her head. "What? Are you acting on behalf of the CEO? Don't forget your position."
Position?
I'm his wife. I have an even greater position and identity to sit here.
Unfortunately, I can't say this to her. It's just ridiculous.
"What's wrong, Ms. Sophia? If you have nothing, please excuse yourself," Amelia replied.
Bella stared at Amelia. In front of Ethan, she acted nonchalant. She turned her head and glanced at Amelia.
Amelia looked at her, feeling utterly disgusted. She glanced over at Ethan who was engrossed in studying some documents on the side.
"Mr. Frost, We'll talk later," Bella said.
Ethan lifted his head upon hearing that, looking at Amelia with an unhappy expression, then glanced at Bella, who looked rather confident.
Extending his arm, he pulled Amelia into his embrace. This action startled Amelia, while Bella looked at them in surprise.
"You..." Amelia tried to struggle out of his embrace.
"You all..." Bella had a perplexed expression, pointing at the two of them.
Ethan gently said, "Miss Harper isn't familiar with office games. Ms. Sophia is mine. Anyone who dares to trouble her will have trouble with me and Grand Group."
Amelia also looked at Ethan tenderly, sneakily glancing at Bella, who had an unusually unpleasant expression, staring at the two of them in astonishment.
"Mr. Frost, let's be more serious in front of others."
Others, emphasizing the word, and taking another glance at Bella, clearly warning her.
