Days quickly passed while Alex tinkered with the wooden stick floating on the table. It moved front, back, up, down, right and left but it was incapable of doing the more complex movements such as curves, and going diagonally.
He looked at his masterpiece which was outdated in the current wizarding community and smiled happily. A sense of satisfaction rose in his heart that was indescribable.
His fingers grazed the stick as he muttered, "Just wait for a while darling, I'll make you way better than the other brooms out there. I'll make sure that every single person would want you, only you."
Unfortunately for him, he had absolutely no knowledge about the amount of work needed to mass produce brooms or to make a specialised broom that could beat the firebolt or at least stand on equal grounds with it.
"Oy Toffy, get me some logs will you. Bring me logs from different trees and bring me two of the same kind. In short, twenty logs."
Toffy bowed his head down before apparating with a loud pop, to with Alex had gotten accustomed to. A few minutes after the elf was gone, he closed his tired eyes and rubbed them as he plopped onto the bed.
"Tomorrow… is the start of everything… I wonder what kind of sin or whatever that angel said I would get. The main question is… should I help the trio or use them…"
A slight smile bloomed on Alex's face which looked good enough to scare a child.
"I guess… I'll keep them alive? There's no fun without them after all and I doubt those angels or whatever will let me kill them. Oh well, the least I could do is to take off their brains hehehehe…."
***************
Alex reached King's cross at quarter past ten and waited for the abused kid with the lightning scar. He walked over to an isolated place where he couldn't be spotted easily and stood there silently.
At half past ten, Harry Potter walked into the railway station and could be seen talking to his uncle. A minute or so later, Harry stood silently in one spot, not knowing what to do.
Alex waited for five more minutes before he pushed his trolley towards the main protagonist. Harry looked at him, his eyes showing relief and something else that Alex couldn't pin point.
He stopped and looked at the boards that said platform ten and platform nine before looking at the wall that he was supposed to pass through. He gave Harry a glance and said, "Hogwarts?"
To which Harry responded with fast, repetitive nods.
"Why are you standing here then? You can wait for your friends inside too, you know?" Alex said, now looking straight at the wall.
"Umm… I don't know how to get to the platform nine and three quarters. Could you please help me out?"
Alex turned to look at Harry, who was approximately the same height as him and said, "Muggle?"
"Huh? Ah, no. But I lived with muggles all my life so I don't really know much about the magical part of the world."
"Hmm… I didn't expect someone to actually call their parents muggles you know? I've heard that almost all the kids from muggle backgrounds found it extremely offensive when they first learnt about the differences."
Harry went silent as he heard that question, but decided to answer anyway, "My parents, they died. I live with my aunt and uncle."
"Oh okay. Alright then, you see that wall right? All you have to do is run into it. Don't worry, you won't crash. It is enchanted to help everyone reach the platform. The key to getting it right is having no fear. Just follow me or you can just do it along with me."
Alex started pushing his trolley and Harry rushed after him. Alex sped up and Harry followed, closing his eyes shut when the wall got nearer.
He waited for the crash but it didn't come. He felt a touch on his shoulder and opened his eyes to see Alex standing in front of him and behind him, there was a scarlet steam engine with the board, "Hogwarts Express".
Harry thanked Alex, who seemed to be thinking about something important as he simply nodded in response before walking away from him. Alex looked at the compartments and kept walking until he found an empty one.
He put his luggage away and sat down comfortably before pulling out a book from his trunk. It was a book on wands which he had bought recently by spending almost all his remaining money.
He took out his small leather pouch which he used to keep all his money and opened it, only to find a few knuts and sickles. He sighed as he put in back into his pockets.
"Knowledge really is costly huh…"
A few minutes passed and the compartment door opened, revealing Harry. Alex looked at him and asked, "What's up?"
"Um, can I sit here?"
Alex saw the nervousness in Harry's eyes and thought for a second before nodding.
'I'm sure that I won't be sorted into Gryffindor. After all, I can completely tell that I'm not reckless and even in the bravery department, I doubt I can beat the trio. Since we won't be in the same house, it doesn't matter how I'm with him right now. The least I can do is to instill the idea into his mind that I'm not an enemy or something of the similar kind.
Hmm… also, each house seems to have five girls and five boys in each year, totalling to forty students in each year but I could be wrong.'
(A/N: I got this info from wiki and it is also said in the pottermore. A few characters are not mentioned in the book so there is a leeway to insert OC's as well, so I'll think about it. Currently, Alex is the only OC and I do plan on bringing in a few "Important" OC's. Maybe 3 but 2 is for sure and the female lead will not be an OC. To those who don't know what an OC is, it's basically Original Character.)
