章節 53: The Child of Prophecy
Not understanding his own situation clearly would obviously bring him more harm than good. God forbid if he ever encountered any danger while collecting the energy...
While thinking about collecting energy, he immediately thought of Li. He did not know in which condition Aouli was, how he was, or whether he was injured or not.
His thought process was interrupted by Justin, who wanted to take Stefan to his territory, he started pulling Stefan in one direction.
Knowing Justin's intention well, Stefan resisted and shook his head in disagreement to go with him.
Justin saw Stefan's resistance and lowered his head, where a dark light flashed in his eyes, but when he looked up, there was a sad look on his face. As amateur as Stefan was, he was still unaware of the dark thoughts of people and the lengths they could go to get what they wanted.
Stefan looked at Justin who looked sad and felt guilty for rejecting him, at this moment he remembered that there were various sizes of pearls filled in his shell according to the size. He gestured towards Justin and turned towards his shell, which was almost going to close by itself.
As soon as Stefan went near the shell, the shell as if welcoming its owner back opened again, displaying its beautiful appearance. This was the first time Stefan had seen the shell completely. The shell, although, looked small from the outside, was very big from the inside.
Stefan moved inside the shell but decided to observe it carefully after sending Justin away. After taking the most beautiful pearl in his arms which was like a ping-pong ball, he swam towards Justin and handed him the pearl with an apologetic face.
Justin saw that Stefan was holding something in his hands and coming towards him with an apologetic face. He wondered what it was, but when he saw that it was only a pearl, he lost interest in it. He did not show any of his personal emotions on his face, though. Even if he did not like the pearl much, he still took it from Stefan's arms and observed it.
Considering it a beautiful ornament, he decided to keep it in his treasury after going back to his home.
Stefan thought that Justin was having difficulty deciding what to do with the pearl, so he took the pearl back in his hands and went back to his shell again.
'System? Are you there?', he asked.
There was no reply from the system, but Stefan noticed a panel appearing in front of him. He observed the panel and found a help bar present in the corner. Stefan clicked on the help bar and typed his question. In almost two minutes, there was a reply which said 'Yes, you can access it as it is bound to your soul and is not restricted to your mortal body'.
Stefan immediately followed the instructions by biting his finger with his teeth and dropping three drops of blood on his shell.
As soon as the process was completed, Stefan felt a connection with the shell. He imagined the appearance of the space bracelet, and it appeared in his hands immediately.
After going through the contents, he found small pendants lying in the corner of the space bracelet. He remembered it was made of the branches given to him by Princess Esha. Choosing a suitable one, Stefan went outside and swam closer to Justin.
Justin was dumbfounded when Stefan took the pearl back from him, in a moment of instinctual action he wanted to snatch the pearl but stopped himself at the last moment.
He watched Stefan getting further and further, starting to feel a subtle disappointment in his heart. Then he laughed at his own fantasy. How could someone be his friend? Everyone just wanted to take benefits from him... No one was sincere! Everyone just wanted benefits and nothing else!!
As Justin was immersed in his dark thoughts, he saw Stefan coming towards him and hugging him, specifically his neck. Justin froze and dared not move. But after calming down, he realized that Stefan was hanging something around his neck.
Stefan stepped back after taking the measurement and, after taking the pearl in his hand, reduced its size to become as small as a ring. He borrowed some power from the shell and merged the pearl and the branch in his hand, which made the pendant look extraordinary.
Finishing the melting process, Stefan proceeded to hang it around Justin's neck and once again came closer to Justin.
This time, Justin was calm, knowing not to indulge in weird fantasies.
As Stefan stepped back, Justin was curious to see what he had hung around his neck, so he conjured a mirror out of thin air and saw an extraordinary pendant hanging around his neck giving mysterious vibes...
He was silent for some seconds, then threw a beautiful smile towards Stefan which made him look very cute and naughty.
....
At that moment Justin had no idea what the pearl could bring him, but in the future when he experienced its miracle personally, he realized how precious and rare this pearl was. It was at this time that Justin experienced what it means when Johan said that some people become soulmates without a specific reason.
By this time, Justin knew that Stefan might really be the child in the prophecy. According to the prophecy, when all hope is lost, a declining power will rise and change the lost situation by reversing the situation. The child of prophecy will have blessings on their body since childhood, but only some with talented aptitude will be able to see it.
But there is another prophecy contradicting the first prophecy that says if the child of prophecy is unable to stimulate his/her powers at an early age, the continent will cease to exist. The declining power has a deep relation with the child of prophecy, the development of the declining power relies solely on the child of prophecy.
No one knows which declining power it will be, but since the prophecy was discovered many powers have risen and many have fallen. It has been a thousand years since many people stopped believing in prophecies, and so only a few old people still know the existence of the prophecy.
