章節 7: Pain in the ass

Reina gained consciousness. All she could see was black. She was sweaty, and her hands were starting to hurt. She most probably just realized that she was tied up to something like a pole, and so were her feet.

Reina tried to loosen herself when she heard footsteps. Pretending she was still unconscious and waiting for the person while quietly trying to release her hands, She felt the person move closer to hover in front of her.

"Oh, how the tables have turned," The person said. It was a man. He took off whatever was covering her face, she felt the cold breeze. He used the back of his hand to caress her face. Reina was disgusted, but she had to be calm if she wanted to escape. She successfully untied her hands but kept them behind her.

The man sighed. "Oh, the things I want to do to you" He leaned forward. Reina was ready to punch his face if he tried anything shady, but he moved away and backed her.

"Why haven't you done them then?" She asked him to notify him that she was awake

Foolishly, he answered, "The boss wants you in on..." His voice became distant, and he immediately turned to see Reina's hands and legs free.

" Come on, do them. He doesn't have to know," She seductively said, moving her hair away from her neck, leaving them exposed along with the top of her bosoms. He sprinted over, furious that she was loose and maybe half of him was coming for the offer.

He firmly grabbed her arm, but not too tight, as if he was afraid not to hurt. "How are you awake?!" He looked at her arm, his eyes darting elsewhere. Taking the opportunity of him being distracted, Reina held his head and slammed it against the wall twice. He fell, and she took to her heels, running. Though she didn't see clearly as it was too dim and her eyes hadn't adjusted yet, she kept going. Seeing a ray of light, she knew she was going in the right direction. She wasn't. It was a lit lamp, grabbing it to make moving easier. She headed back and found the door, only for the man to grab her again.

"You little whore! How dare you!" he growled, pulling her towards the inside again. She had to do something, but what? struggling with him, which won't help, but she did either way. "You think you can run away that easily?" He questioned, still dragging her.

Reina stepped on his foot hard and kneed him between his legs. He groaned loudly, but that didn't stop him from slapping her across the face when he got to the pillar.

Realizing she was still holding the lamp in her other hand, she pressed it against his face. It burned. He let go of her hand, screaming, kicking his legs. She pushed him to the ground and used the lamp multiple times, allowing the burns last.

Looking around her, she found a stick to hit him with. Going to get the rod, he grabbed her leg, making her fall hard and scraping her knee, but she managed to grab the stick. She turned around, hitting him till he passed out. Taking a moment to catch her breath, she tied him up.

Taking the lamp, she headed for the door again and exited. This time no one grabbed her. It looked like the day just broke, and the sun wasn't up yet.

Reina began to run as fast as she could through the woods, the bushes and tree branches marking her skin with wounds whenever she ran past a stray branch. It hurt, but she wasn't stopping now. Hoping she had run far enough, she stopped, her throat dry; she was coughing and cold at the same time.

She hoped she was still in Narva and had not crossed the borders yet. She had no idea if she was even headed on the right path or not. That will be decided when the sun rises. She threw the lamp away moments back.

Her legs were tired, especially her feet, as she was barefoot. She walked further till she found a small river and sat on a rock by the river bank, and immersed her legs in the water. It was cold, and it helped.

How did she even get here? The last thing she remembers is passing out after that deviled man, Silas, showed up. But the man over that hut, or whatever that was, isn't Silas. Or was Silas the boss he was talking about? This is frustrating! The good news is she didn't pass out for days. The bad news is she actually passed out! to the point they were able to bring her all the way out here.

She sighed in relief and hummed to a song, swinging her leg in the water. She paused, hearing dry leaves break. Being on alert, she slipped into the water and hoped she'll hold her breath long enough until the person passed. She peeked her head out to breathe and back into the water to stay a little longer.

How did her life come to this? Hiding underwater. She was cold in her nightwear. He chose the nighttime, of all times to kidnap her? He should have at least let her change. She hates him to the core. When she survives this, he is going to die by her hands.

Coming out of the water, all wet and shivering, she walked away, heading north. She thought. As the sun just rose from the east and she prayed it was the north.

Reina walked for what seemed to be hours, tired and hungry. She had no time for a rest, no food, so all she could do was to keep moving till she came across a village, hopefully as soon as possible.

"There she is!" A man yelled.

Reina turned back to see four people coming after her. Her heart raced. They found her? How? Was she too slow? It happened so fast that she found herself in a big man's arm

"Let me go!!" She screamed and fought

"Stay put, you little thing!" The man complained she was stronger than she looked. A stubborn little piece of trash. The man thought.

Noticing a rock, she pulled him towards it making sure they were a distance away from the other men and somehow made him stumble and fall. Fetching mud and anything she found and pouring it on his face, she ran off.

The men who were already ahead of them heard the groan. Turning back, they saw Reina running away with their friend on the floor. The princess was a pain in the ass, they all thought, chasing after her.
