章節 55: Spirit: Celestial reflection
In the middle of the night, when Cheng Shan was sitting alone near the mountain stream, he seemed to look in the water and saw the reflection of the stars, but the moon was the one being represented clearly.
He did not follow about the strange events that where happening closely, rather he was more interested in relaxing his mind to temper his will. It was in this way that instead of being in meditative state this night, he was rather observing the moon in the sky. What other way could there be for him to relax himself other than this.
"What a spectacular sight!" He sighed and seemed to enter a unique ethereal state. This has only happened a few times, and it was when he broke-through in martial arts.
When he was obsessed with the moon in the reflection, something even more shocking seemed to happen as he heard the sound of something exploding, before he knew it he was falling into the stream.
The confusion on his face did not seem to fade, but when he reacted he realized he was standing on the surface of water. But to his surprise he was not sinking, even though he had done everything he could.
In the moment, his face was calm even in this situation, as he believed in his current strength. Looking around, it was all dark and he remembered that the sky had a moon and stars, but the reflection of the moon was missing in the water.
But the next second, the reflection of the moon seemed to appear, which puzzled him. He only reacted once he saw that the water was endless, in all directions.
What he did not know was that due to his relaxed mood, he had unintentionally gained some insight into the primordial spirit. More importantly, his strengthening of spirit over the period he started to practice could be responsible for it.
The reason for his primordial spirit having shape, was because it seemed like a reflection of himself in this space.
Looking at the massive moon in the sky, he always felt something was wrong, and when he achieved this state, his body was also being affected at the moment.
The process that he had estimated to take longer to be completed had not just started to accelerate, even his blood seemed to be boiling. Some vague vision seemed to appear around his body, it was pale bloody ocean.
In the moment, it could be said that he had finally attained perfection of potential stage. More importantly, his state seemed to have improved even greatly than in the past.
His clothes seemed to shrivel, and eventually they where burned off his body, and did not seem to even leave any damage on his skin.
When all of this was happening, he moved his line of sight from the moon with many thoughts, but the one that came to his mind was actually simple.
"What if there were nine bigger moons in the sky above this dark ocean." This thought had just appeared when the sky changed, but the area seemed to also become colder and colder, yet the water surface he was standing on did not seem to freeze at all.
More importantly, he could indeed feel that the area he was in was cold, but this cold did not affect him somehow.
But that was not the issue of concern, rather the fact that eight other massive moons each larger than the other appeared. But that was also like some kind of limit, and he seemed to collapse.
By the stream, Cheng Shan actually fell down and his eyes seemed to turn white.
It seemed that what had just happened was a dream, but his spirit was exhausted from it, yet nine moons could be seen vaguely in the water before him before it returned to normal.
This situation was confusing and when he woke up, it would be easy to find out what had happened.
His body changes did not stop at all, rather they seemed to increase, and on the other side, with the fog, the group that Supervisor Wang took in was trying to leave the fog area, each divided into small groups of three.
This was the acceptable means to deal with the situation, as moving in a large group would attract more attention than a small one. He did not just let someone he did not trust move the bag containing the source, rather he seemed to have used some means on them.
Being someone who had been left in charge of a lab, how could he not have the means to deal with people and make sure they did not end up betraying him? Even though this may seem cruel, to someone like him, what did that matter other than his grand goals?
In the end, they separated, and the plan was indeed the best move, as for the passage of time, it seemed that the fog was slowly dispersing. Before they knew it, they could already see their way back, but that was not all, after all this seemed to have alarmed a of people.
Looking at the fog that seemed to be slowly shrinking and dispersing, they sent even more people inside. As for the thoughts of those in charge, on the issue, no one could tell.
Before they knew it a few hours had passed and the fog was completely dispersing. In the end, less than half of the group had come back, but Wang was not sad about this due to the bag he was holding in his arms.
Picking up his phone, he made some contact, and someone on the other side seemed to be impressed by the information he had provided.
Other than gaining some backing from this it seemed that he was going to be able to accomplish some of his goals. In this way, he did not seem to hesitate to give up the object, and the other end of the phone was obviously more happy to fulfill this deal.
Heading to the helicopter he had come with, he seemed to mention something to the pilot, and left behind a bag, before going back to the place the group he came with was located.
Less than half an hour later, the helicopter seemed to leave without even attracting much attention. But obviously some people saw this, they just did not think anything of it. But when the fog was completely cleared, the situation on the gathering point suddenly become tense.
Everyone seemed to be armed and ready to start a conflict at anytime. The same was true for those from other countries, this was because each of them knew about the significance of the source. Back then a nuclear weapon was unleashed that resulted in a country resulting in more than 200, 000 deaths.
On the official statement, it was an armed conflict between the countries, but that was far from the truth. The most powerful individuals responsible for the Hiroshima and Nagasaki Event seemed to competing for the source. It was not the only moment this happened, as it has occurred several times.
Most times, it seemed to even lead to wars, but the most interesting thing is that the participants used democracy as the cause of these conflicts. The reason for this was obviously to reduce the use of the hot weapons. Each of the powerful groups and clans has come up with more advanced weapons, that are predicted to cause massive damage once unleashed, and the nuclear weapons are nothing on them.
In that case, it is more like restraint by each other which results in some war at the level of soldiers.

A day later, in the mountains, Cheng Shan who had passed out seemed to blink his eyes, and the white pupils seemed to return to normal.
A massive change had happened, and when he recovered, he seemed to receive a massive amount of information, that he could barely withstand.
He was almost having a headache, and looking at the attribute panel, he had some puzzlement.
"When did I practice some new technique?" This was what he was shocked with the most.
But he still did not stop putting his eyes on the panel, he could see that that was not the only change that had happened.

More than just an addition of the skill before the Spirit, it seemed that other aspects had been increased greatly with the perfection of potential stage.
The addition of the realm aspect was indeed another category, but nothing was there. This had his thoughts flying and he seemed to have come to the conclusion, that perhaps only after he reached the next stage would be be counted as a realm.
He kept looking at the Celestial reflection thinking it was some kind of technique he had created, but at the moment he seemed to react.
"Perhaps the spirit is ranked in categories and I am only at the state of celestial reflection. Thinking back now, those nine moons, could it be..." He stopped thinking about and wanted to try it out.
